Emmelline is sitting at a vacant table, when the door opens and Moncyu arrives. "Eiessa mate, over here," she calls, flagging Moncyu down.
<br><br>
Moncyu catches the hail and makes her way over. "There you are," she says, greeting Emma with a smile. She drops herself into a chair across from the other woman and tosses her hair back. "What's the good news?"
<br><br>
Emmelline chortles and replies, "There is none. I was just super bored," she admits with a grin. "But I was thinking," she goes on conversationally, "we should throw a party. I've been aboard this ship a little over two months, and not a single party, get together. Nothing whatsoever. When does anyone have the opportunity to blow off steam and let their hair down?"

Moncyu grins. "What kind of party do you have in mind?" she asks.
<br><br>
"I don't know," Emmelline says laughing. "I'm very motivated, just not very creative."
<br><br>
Moncyu shrugs. "Well, based on one of our earlier conversations, how about a beach party?"
<br><br>
"Yeah, but then we'd have to design a holoprogram wouldn't we?," Emmelline asks curiously. "I mean... the med staff... mainly Dr. Nolan and I are working on such a program, for the medical peoples to kick back. I'm not sure how he'd feel about us test running it on a ship wide party,' she says laughing. "But it is pretty awesome."

Moncyu waves a hand. "There are already a couple of beach programs in the computer. We can just use one of those, can't we?"
<br><br>
"Hmm true," Emmelline says with a nod of her head. 'I hadn't thought of that. I'm thinking we should comb through the programs and see if there's one in particular that would be suitable."
<br><br>
"I could think of worse ways to spend an afternoon," Eiessa says with a smile.
<br><br>
Emmelline chortles and replies, "Oh and drinks. We have to replicate all the drinks. This cannot be a dry party," she says with an emphatic shake of her head.
<br><br>
Moncyu tips her head toward the bar. "I'm told that if you arrange it with the bar tender in advance, they can arrange for someone to have everything in place for an event anywhere on the ship. It doesn't have to be here in 10 Forward."
<br><br>
"Oh really?," Emmelline asks curiously. "I didn't know that. But then I've never tried to plan an event," she says with a soft chuckle.
<br><br>
Moncyu leans forward, her elbows on the table. "So, who will you invite?" she asks.
<br><br>
"Everyone," Emmelline says without hesitation. "I want a proper shipwide party, where everyone can let their hair down and just blow off some steam."
<br><br>
Your telepathic ability allows you to hear Cross's thoughts, "Plus I wonder... oh no don't think it Emma, don't think it. She'll know, and that is so not good! Just... redirect. Redirect to puppies. Yes, puppies are so cute and innocent."

Moncyu laughs. "They're going to have to take it in shifts," she says. "There are thousands of people on this ship. I don't think the holodeck can accomidate that many at one time." She grins at the telepathic information she's sensing from Emma.

"Okay point," Emmelline says with a little laugh. "But we can at least give the invitation shipwide. Plus, I'm sure there are those who will just not come. I think we can do it,' she says with a grin. "Maybe not all at once as you said, but a great many. At least the ones we tend to be on duty shifts on."

"I'm in," Eiessa says. "I'll even have a new swimsuit made up for the event." Her commbadge beeps and she raises her brows. "Sorry, just a moment."

Emmelline simply nods, staying silent for now as Moncyu takes the incoming comm.

[Moncyu's Commbadge] Hauser says, "Eiessa, it's Deputy Chief Engineer Hauser. I have a security glitch I wanted to ask you about. I'm very sorry to interrupt if you're doing something, but can you come topside for a minute? Don't want to comm it."

Moncyu emote eyes Emma as she answers, "Sure. Mind if I bring Doctor Cross along?"
<br><br>
Your telepathic ability allows you to hear Cross's thoughts, "It's okay, go on. I'm probably gong to go bother the boss anyways."

Emmelline meets Moncyu's gaze, and shakes her head discretely. Still keeping silent so as not to interrupt the conversation.

Moncyu nods to Emma in understanding. "Sorry to run off," she says. "You sure you don't want to come?"

"Yeah mate, go on. We'll resume our planning another time," Emmelline says as she rises to her feet.
<br><br>
Moncyu smiles as she also stands. "Talk to you soon," she says, then hurries up to the bridge.

Hauser is sitting at the engineering station, frowning at whatever she's seeing.
<br><br>
Moncyu steps out of the lift and onto the bridge, has a look around, then makes her way over to the engineering station. "Hello, Lieutenant. What's going on?" she asks.
<br><br>
"No Cross?" Hauser asks. "Ensign, I have an unlocked console in the shield systems control area. But it wasn't a careless officer who lefted it open. Have a look at the security station."
<br><br>
Moncyu shakes her head. "She said she's off to talk with Doctor Sawyer about something," she answers as she steps over to the tactical console and has a look.
<br><br>
Moncyu squints at her console. "Unlocked console in the stardrive shield control room. Looks like it was unlocked using the access code of a Crewman Jenkins," she says, then looks up. "How do you know that's not just the act of a careless Crewman?"
<br><br>
"The last crewman named Jenkins I met was last seen dead. Maybe this is another crewman jenkins, but how many crewmen have access to that room? Who's his her department head?" SHe thinks that someone is fucking with them, because it's happened before, and she wants to choke someone. She is thinking of a mutilated corpse.
<br><br>
A sudden look of comprehension crosses Eiessa's face. She checks some sensor information and nods. "This is what we saw when we discovered that someone had moved a corpse from the morgue to the torpedo control room," she says. "In fact, the readings look identical, if my memory isn't failing me. To my knowledge, we never found out who moved the body."
<br><br>
"Not the console being unlocked, but the internal sensor reading for that compartment," Eiessa clarifies.
<br><br>
"So, how do we handle it? Do we need to go down there? You want a hand?" Hauser offers. "I swear security seems like it'll never catch all these fuckers."
<br><br>
Moncyu nods. "And we'll need someone from medical to check out the corpse."
<br><br>
"You mean, like, if there's a corpse in there?" She thinks. "Or just checking the corpse is where it's supposed to be?"
<br><br>
Moncyu gestures to the display. "My sensor show that there's a body in there. We should have a medical team meet us in the corridor outside the shield control room."
<br><br>
Lieutenant Hauser taps something in on the computer interface panel.
<br><br>
>Intercom< Lieutenant Hauser says, "Medical team, rendezvous in corridor outside Stardrive shield control room."
<br><br>
Moncyu nods and locks up, her hand absently touching the phaser at her hip as she heads for the lift.

Lex steps off the turbolift, glancing around.
<br><br>
Moncyu is standing outside the shield control room while she waits for everyone to arrive.
<br><br>
Sawyer exits the lift, grumbling, slinging his doctor's bag. "Eiessa, what's the haps?" he asks, coming forward.
<br><br>
Cross arrives at the same time as Sawyer and Elniz. She allows the doctor to take point, she listening and observing for the present.
<br><br>
"Hey, Doc," Eiessa says to Sawyer. "Remember when we found that corpse that someone moved from the morgue to the torpedo room some time back? Well, I think it may have happened again." She gestures with a tip of her head toward the shield control room. "When everyone's ready, I'll lead the way in."
<br><br>
Sawyer frowns. "Someone playing games again. Dammit!"
<br><br>
Cross looks a little confused at Moncyu's words, and Sawyer's response, but she doesn't ask questions. She just shifts, readying to follow should they be on the move.
<br><br>
Lex frowns, his gaze shifting between the door and Doc Sawyer.
<br><br>
Roberts  comes in, and says" Hello everyone whats going on."
<br><br>
"TO me, Mr. Roberts," Hauser says, gesturing to the junior engineer. "We have a dead body in there that's supposed to be sleeping in the morgue. Someone has a sick sense of humor."
<br><br>
Moncyu nods to the group. Alright then, follow me," she says, then hits the door control to open it.
<br><br>

The corpse of Crewman Jenkins is sprawled carelessly on the floor next to the operations console. There's no obvious signs of how she got here.
<br><br>
Sawyer sighs, harumphing, and running a scan of the operations console for signs of Jenkins's, or anyone else's, DNA signatures.
<br><br>
Lieutenant Commander Sawyer uses Tricorder (1504) to scan Operations Console.
<br><br>
Moncyu enters quickly, her black eyes darting quickly around the space in search of any possible dangers.
<br><br>
Seeing the corpse, the denobulan nurse crosses his arms over his chest.
<br><br>
Cross follows Sawyer inside. She looks a little confused at the corpse that is sprawling there, and clearly out of place. "What on earth?," is all she says, but as Sawyer takes out his tricorder, she does the same.
<br><br>
Ensign Cross uses Tricorder (13928) to scan Tactical Console.
<br><br>
"Is that... the same corpse as before, Doc?" Moncyu asks Sawyer. "She looks familiar."
<br><br>
Sawyer sighs. "It is," he says. He turns to his junior medical staff. "We had some grizzly murders aboard before yall come to the Phoenix. Crewman Jenkins was the first. She's been in the morgue. But a few months ago, someone started getting cute, moving bodies around. We don't know why."
<br><br>
Hauser glances at Moncyu. She wishes she wasn't right. But she doesn't speak.
<br><br>
"I wonder, is whoever behind this," Emmelline says considering, "just like... beaming the corpse? is that even possible?"
<br><br>
Lex lets out a sigh, "On board a Starfleet vessel of all places..."
<br><br>
Hauser says, "You know, Eiessa, I don't think we have figured out the how, have we?"
<br><br>
Moncyu shakes her head. "Not that I know of," she says, then gestures to the operations console. "One of you engineers want to check and see what's up with the unlocked console?"
<br><br>
Sawyer is frowning. He passes his tricorder at the console, adjusts something else, squints, mutters something inaudible to most species, and says, "Most of the DNA is older, probably crew on duty. Crewman Jenkins's DNA is also on the station, and its the freshest."
<br><br>
Hauser steps forward. "Ok to handle the station, then? I don't want to mess things up for security."
<br><br>
Moncyu looks to the doctors. "Did you get a good medical scan?" she asks, then eyes the tricorders. "Do those tricorders gather the same level of information as the medical tricorders?"
<br><br>
Cross shrugs her shoulders, as she takes out her medical tricorder and scans the console.. "Not sure, let's see."
<br><br>
Ensign Cross uses Medical Tricorder (5747) to scan Operations Console.
<br><br>
"Med tricorders are great for bodies. Standards are good for objects. Yeah," Sawyer says.
<br><br>
"I know sir," Emmelline says with a chuckle, proving Sawyer right when she tries to scan the console, getting pretty much no results. "Just thought I'd try anyways.'
<br><br>
"Alright then," Eiessa says. She nods at Hauser. "We have the scans, you're clear."
<br><br>
Hauser steps over the body, grimmacing, and man's the station. "Ok, what do you want to know?"
<br><br>
Operations Console begins to overload.
<br><br>
Operations Console beeps, and smokes, electrical sparks flying from it.
<br><br>
"Is there anything..." Eiessa's words are cut off when the console starts smoking and things. "What the?"
<br><br>
Lex reflexively takes a step back. This is definitely out of his wheel house, but he's content to observe, then the console starts acting up.
<br><br>
Hauser desperately tries to pull con logs from the station while it's still working.
<br><br>
Operations Console explodes, flinging debris throughout the compartment.
<br><br>
A soft alto feminine voice says, "*** ALERT *** : Explosion detected in Shield System Control - Stardrive."
<br><br>
Hauser is flung back from the station as it erupts, slamming into a wall and slumping to the floor, dazed.
<br><br>
Sawyer tries to step in front of his subordinates to protect them. "Shit, we," But he is struck by debris and hits the deck, still swearing.
<br><br>
Lex's eyes flutter open. His head's still swimming, and it takes him a momen to realize where he is.
<br><br>
Cross notices the sparking deck. "Sir!," she calls to Sawyer. But that's all she manages, a piece of debirs hitting her squarely on the forehead and promptly knocking her out senseless. Coming to, she blearily looks around. "That... was distinctly not good," is all she manages, as she blinks rapidly, trying to clear her vision.
<br><br>
Moncyu is tossed against the wall. She slides to the floor, dazed, injured, but not too badly. She gasps for air, then her attention is drawn to the corpse and she looks terrified.
<br><br>
Sawyer is sitting up now, coming back to himself. "Eiessa, what," he starts.
<br><br>
The corpse of Crewman Jenkins  animates. It turns its head toward the Starfleet crew and opens its mouth. In a rasping, gravely voice it says, "You... belong... to me."
<br><br>
"Oh bloody hell, I have got to be halucinating some serious shite," Emmelline says, all politeness forgotten. "Please do not tell me, that bloody corpse just spoke. I really must have gotten hit in the head harder than I thought," she says rubbing at her forehead where a bruise is now rapidly forming.
<br><br>
Roberts says"you arn't dreaming I herd it to."
<br><br>
"What the..." Lex says weekly, trying to sit up.
<br><br>
"Humans have forgotten much, and learned still more," the corpse continues. "But you have forgotten that you belong to me." The head dips and the corpse is once again inanimate.
<br><br>
Hauser frowns. She speaks in a muzzy voice. "This like that fucking horse ship, where bodies were animating and speaking because of whatever the hell that was?"
<br><br>
Still sitting on the floor with her back against the bulkhead, Eiessa draws her phaser and aims it at the corpse. "Get away from it!" she shouts. "Everyone get back!"
<br><br>
A crewman runs in, wondering what all the explosion nonsense is about. They see there is an explosion, and call for help.
<br><br>
Sawyer moves back, trying to keep himself between the corpse and his people.
<br><br>
>Intercom< Crewman Steve says, "Medical teams and security to the Shield System Control - Stardrive."
<br><br>
Lex manages to put some more distance between himself and the corpse, but it's an effort because his head is throbbing.
<br><br>
Roberts moves back over to doctor cross on standby if needed
<br><br>
Cross is still definitely out of it. She manages to get to her feet, just not very well, still looking very dizzy. "Okay... if that thing actually talked which... I'm still questioning my better judgement on that entire thing," she says to no one in particular, "Eiessa, you should definitely shoot. I vote for shooting shite. Anyone disagree?'
<br><br>
Moncyu is breathing hard, clearly trying to collect herself. Her phaser is still trained on the corpse, but the corpse itself seems to be dead again. "No," she says shakily. "It's not... doing anything aggressive. If we destroy it like we did the last one, we won't have anything to study and learn from." Moncyu is sitting on the floor leaning against the bulkhead with her phaser aimed at the corpse of Crewman Jenkins. There's a smoking console that has recently exploded and some of the other people in the compartment are wearing wounds. Moncyu herself has blood running down her side to pool on the floor.

Sawyer says, "I vote we get that damned body back to the morgue and beam everyone here to sickbay."
<br><br>
Lex gets to his feet, using a bulkhead to aid him. "Force field on the door", he says, his voice still showing signs of weakness.
<br><br>
"But why?," Emmelline asks, she is definitely a little loopy, given she took a large chunk of debris to the forehead. "It doesn't want to stay there. The morgue I mean. Can't we just shoot the thing? It talks, or I'm having just a horrific and vivid dream," she says with a shake of her head, immediately regretting her actions, and lightly leaning upon Sawyer's shoulder if allowed so as to keep her balance. though belatedly, she realizes what she's done in contradicting her superior officer's recommendations. "Oh... sorry sir," she manages, trying to stand straight once more.
<br><br>
"Don't worry, Ems. We can't figure this out while we're painting the floor red, or whatever color ya bleed.
<br><br>
Maynard ran through the door and stops. A surprised look at the damage to the crew and room as she assesses the situation. As she briefly hearsa the end of Emmelline's comment, and with her brief prior knowledge of the ships animated corpse issue she perks up, "The brig?" She says with a lifted brow, "Forcefield will keep it if the morgue can't?"

Hauser is slumping against the bulkhead, looking out of it.
<br><br>
Moncyu lowers her weapon, but keeps it in her hand. She nods at Maynard. "Sounds good to me," she says. She glances down at her side and winces, then looks back at Maynard, the only other security officer present. "I've been injured. You need to take control here. I recommend we get that corpse into a brig cell and beam the rest of us to sickbay."

Sawyer says, "Medical priority. Beam us to ... I guess deck 27 sickbay."
<br><br>
Cross runs a hand down her face, trying to clear her still fuzzy head. "Sir I have..." she says poking at her kit, "autosuture things. Would that help? The bleeding? I also have the nannite injections to help healing."
<br><br>
Sawyer grabs Cross's hand in his bloody one, shaking his head. "No treatin' anyone while you're wounded. Especially those tools. Just sit easy, Ems. We have an EMH and other med staff."
<br><br>
One of the denobulan's hands comes up to feel his head and comes away sticky. His eyes are wide, and he's still holding onto the bulkhead with his other hand.
<br><br>
Ensign Maynard taps something in on the computer interface panel.
<br><br>
>Intercom< Ensign Maynard says, "Ensign Maynard to the bridge, I need an you to beam everyone but me to deck 27 sickbay from the shield system control on deck 20. Emergency. Now. Please."
<br><br>
Cross makes a disgruntled grumbly noise as Sawyer takes her hand. "Yes, but... people are bleeding. I'm not bleeding. Just... a little woozy. It'll pass. Nothing fractured. I... don't think anyways," she says reassuringly to Sawyer, but though she objects, she doesn't make any further moves to suture up her colleagues.

Swirls of energy whip around your deconstructed body. Shimmering lumination dances about your form uncontrollably, dazzling every sense.

Hauser says, "Computer, activate EMH"
<br><br>
Sawyer says, "Damned thing needs to earn its keep"
<br><br>
A swirl of shimmering light appears then dissolves, leaving Maynard in its place.
<br><br>
As the transporter beam eases off him, Lex staggers, but manages to remain on his feet.
<br><br>
Ensign Maynard taps something in on the computer interface panel.
<br><br>
>Intercom< Ensign Maynard says, "Ensign Maynard to the bridge, can you beam the body from Shield Sytem Control to the Brig?"
<br><br>
Moncyu appears in the med bay, still sitting on the floor. She tries to get to her feet, but stumbles, blood now pouring down her leg. There's a tear in her uniform and a piece of the console sticking out of her hip.
<br><br>
>Intercom< LTJG Jones says, "You got it."
<br><br>
Looking around she watches as the med staff get to work,"I should go make sure the ..crewman made it to his secure space." She looks around,"I have so many questions once ya'll aren't bleedin." 
<br><br>
"Triage, the ones bleeding first," Emmelline issues instructions to the emh. "I can wait. It's just a minor head bump. but there are people actively bleeding," she says gesturing to both Moncyu and Elniz.
<br><br>
Medical staff help the bleeders to biobeds and get them settled in.
<br><br>
Moncyu winces, obviously in pain. She holsters her phaser and tries to be still for the medical people to work on her hip.
<br><br>
After Lex is ushered to a biobed, he simply lies there quietly. he looks over, content that the staff are helping Moncyu first, as she was worse off than he.
<br><br>
Cross patiently waits, allowing the medical staff the time to work on both Elniz and Moncyu.
<br><br>
Medical staff busy themselves as both Moncyu and Elniz are taken to the biobeds. A female doctor approaches Moncyu, looking over her wound. "Okay here's the good news," she tells the Ensign. "The debris, it didn't hit an artery. But it did embed itself in there pretty deep. I'm going to give you a light sedative, before I take it out and suture up the wound. Sound good?"
<br><br>
A male doctor approaches Elniz around the same time. "All right nurse, let's take a look see," he says as he looks over Elniz's wound. "Well the good news is, it's a scalp wound. They bleed like faucets leak water," he says reassuringly, "but it will need sutures."
<br><br>
Moncyu nods to the physician. "Do what you have to do, Doc," she replies.
<br><br>
"Fair enough I suppose." The nurse sighs with contentment as the doctor begins treating his wound.
<br><br>
The doctor administers a hypospray to Moncyu. "All right, you should be feeling more relaxed and the pain should be going away," she says softly. The female doctor waits for a few moments, waiting till the sedative is truly working, before she inspects Moncyu's wound more closely. "here we go, in three," she says, her voice soft. "One... two... three," she says, before she very carefully pulls the piece of debirs out of Moncyu's hip. 'You're okay, no arterial bleeding," she goes on, as she takes out her autosuture and begins cleaning and suturing the wound at the same time. In the meantime, on the other side of the hospital with Elniz, the male doctor takes out an autosuture. "This should stitch you right up," he says, as he begins working on the scalp wound on Elniz's head.
<br><br>
Cross is observing as the doctors treat her colleague. She remaining to one side. Patiently waiting her turn, her concern palpable for her colleagues.
<br><br>
Roberts says "thankfully I wasn't herd by the explosion am glad."
<br><br>
Moncyu goes kind of limp when the meds take effect. She lets out a low moan when the debris is removed, but she otherwise doesn't seem to care very much. She's off in her own little world.
<br><br>
Slowly but surely, Lex seems to be coming around.
<br><br>
"Almost there," the female doctor reassures Moncyu, as she is nearly done suturing up the wound. "Soon, you'll forget you even had a chunk of debris there," she says as she finishes her work and straightens. "I'm going to let you lie there a little longer, till the sedative wears off," she says, checking the monitors to ensure Moncyu's scans all look normal. Determining that it does, she smiles and walks away, seeing to another patient. In the meantime, the male doctor is finishing up Elniz's sutures. "There you are," he says straightening. "I don't think you took any damage to the brain," he says, double checking the monitirs. "No, it's as I suspected. Just a scalp wound. You're good to go whenever you're ready."

Cross nods to Roberts. "Oh well then you might as well go brief Ensign Maynard. It can't be too much fun for you,' she says, her words reassuring.

"I seem well enough", Lex says with a grunt as he gets to his feet.
<br><br>
As Elniz gets to his feet, Emmelline manages to catch a glimpse if his scans before he does, clearly just checking that he is actually all right to move. Once he does, she takes his place, lying on the biobed. "Ooh I've never been on this side before," she says with a little chuckle.

Moncyu just nods weakly at the doctor who, as it turns out, has already walked away. Her reflexes must be slow. Drugs will do that to you.
<br><br>
The same doctor who healed Elniz comes back around to find Cross occupying the biobed. "All right, let me have a look-see..."
<br><br>
"it's just a really nasty bruise," Emmelline says with a smile at the doctor. "Took a hit square to the forehead." Seeing Eiessa in the bed looking a little out of it she calls to the other woman, "You all right there mate?"
<br><br>
Moncyu lazily looks over, sighs deeply, and answers with a heavy slur to her words, "Never better." She smacks her lips, closes her eyes, and smiles to herself.
<br><br>
"That's all right, we'll get ya taken care of quick enough." The doc begins applying a topical treatment to the bruise.
<br><br>
Cross nods and smiles at the doctor. "Just check that I didn't like actually crack anything. I don't think I did, but I did lose consciousness, and got super dizzy and loopy afterwards," she explains. Back to Moncyu, she can't help but to chuckle. "Looks like the doctor gave you something real good to help with the pain."
<br><br>
Moncyu is all buzzed up in one of the biobeds thanks to the dope one of the medical staff gave her. She has had her hip injured, then a bit of debris removed from it and sewed up. She's not really responsive at the moment. Drugs.
<br><br>
Nolan enters into the General Ward and has a look around. He seems a tad shaken himself but grateful for the respite from some of the other work throughout the other bays. "Status" he asks of the attending physician in the room.
<br><br>
Lex is still here, the onset of the emotional ramifications of the events finally beginning to catch up with him as the last of the daze fades. He spots Dr. Nolan entering before the physician working on Cross does and walks that way. He catches the order for status. "Sir, there was an explosion in shield control and we got flung across the room."
<br><br>
Nolan looks over the patients before nodding. "Doctor, I'll take over here" he says to the attending physician. "You head up to 7 and help Doctor Sawyer"
<br><br>
"Just debris Dr. Nolan," Emmelline calls. She is perfectly conscious and coherent. Just being worked on presently. "Everyone is patched up, I'm the last one. It wasn't fun, be glad you weren't there. You don't want to know. I don't even want to know," she says with a little laugh. "I'm still hoping, I wake up in my quarters, and this entire day was a very elaborate dream."

Speaking of dreams, Moncyu appears to be having a good one right now. The smile on her face is something to behold.
<br><br>
"Aye sir", the physician says, heading out of the ward, giving Elniz a quick glance before heading out.
<br><br>
"That's the usual around here.." Nolan says, having a look at Cross's affliction. "Got it in the head did you?"
<br><br>
"Squarely in the forehead sir," Emmelline replies with a soft chuckle. "Tried to warn Dr. Sawyer, as he was in front of me but... got promptly knocked out and all systems down."
<br><br>
Nolan peers in, his antennae scanning over. "You're decently lucid, I'll assume the other doctor already ran through concussion protocol" he says, setting the arch over her head. 
<br><br>
Trying to catch Doctor ch'Vyran in a free moment, "Doctor, permission to return to quarters and get some rest? It's been a long... short... but long day."
<br><br>
Nolan looks up and nods. "Dismissed, be ready for your next cycle, we'll likely be dealing with this a minute"
<br><br>
"i think he either did, or was going to," Emmelline says with a slight nod. "I mean I got all loopy and dizzy after I woke up, but it's gone now. Just a gigantic headache."

Elniz nods and heads out

"That's okay... Lie back and relax. You're going to feel some pressure as I equilize the pressure in your head. You've seen this proceedure a hundred times, I'm sure" Nolan says, beginning the work

Lieutenant ch'Vyran utilizes the tools on Biobed (25528) to begin work on cranial equalization techniques on Cross
<br><br>
Cross chuckles as she lies back. "I don't remember the last time I was on this side of the bed and not for a routine physical."
<br><br>
"You ever break any bones?" Nolan asks, keeping a conversational tone as he keeps an eye on his readings
<br><br>
Moncyu starts to come out of her drunken stooper. She yawns and has a look around. "Mmm, that was some good stuff," she remarks.
<br><br>
"No never," Emmelline says with a grin. "hence, it being rare for me to be on this side of the bed. Usually I'm the one doing the patching." As Moncyu wakens she replies, "I wonder if that was your first time being given a sedative."
<br><br>
Nolan peers over at Moncyu. "You just stay comfy right there, you've still got a fair amount of healing to do... I'm sure you feel great at the moment... There, Doctor Cross, all done. You should feel some of that pressure and ache receeding"
<br><br>
Moncyu blinks a bit and shakes her head. "Not the first," she replies. "I'm just a cheap date." She blinks again and adds, "Oh, hi Doctor Nolan."

"Yes, thank you," Emmelline says with a nod of her head at Nolan, as she hops off the bed. "As good as new. Glad you didn't see me earlier," she says with a grin. "Oh did you get my message by the way?' To Moncyu she says with a soft chuckle, "Well hopefully whatever it was you were thinking about, made up for well... the insanity we suffered earlier."

Your telepathic ability allows you to hear Cross's thoughts, "And I was all settled to have a fun evening with Phil too. Damn it all to hell."

Nolan shoots Cross a look. "I hope you're hopping off the bed to get some sleep in your quarters" he says, a small tone in his voice. "You know there's no modern substitute for bedrest especially after head trauma"
<br><br>
Moncyu winces at the memory of what happened in the shield room. "I might need a little more of that stuff to help me sleep tonight," she says, then picks up her PADD and starts typing.
<br><br>
"Ah but Doctor," Emmelline says shooting Nolan a winsome smile, "I'm young I'm agile, and I'm as good as new!," she says with a little laugh. "And you didn't answer my question either." Back to Moncyu she says, "yeah... I'm going to just... block it out of my mind or something. That was just bad on so many levels."

Nolan sighs, and his antennae droop. "No, I haven't, I've been busy with triage" He turns to Moncyu. "Do I need to sequester that PADD away from you? Bed. Rest." he says, emphasizing with knife hands.

Cross chortles and sighs over dramatically. "No one ever believes me, when I say I'm young and agile," she says throwing Nolan a cute little pout. "First Commander Choma doesn't believe me, and now you don't either. Maybe if I appeal to Dr. Sawyer's kinder nature, he'll believe I'm young and agile," she says, her tone playful, her smile making it clear she's not being serious in the least.

Moncyu finishes typing and hits the send button, then looks up at Nolan. "Incident. Report. Cranky. XO," she says, eyes big and head rocking side to side to emphasize her words. She laughs, then tosses the PADD down onto the bed next to her. "Alright alright. I'm going to bed. See?" She closes her eyes, lets her head drop back, and pretends to snore... very loudly.

"I'm more than happy to bat a cranky XO off of my patients so that they can sleep... for real" He sighs and turns to Cross. "Have you met the same Phil I have? I trust you're young and agile, but that's when you're healthy and you will cease to be if you don't rest"
<br><br>
Cross makes a fake little grumbly noise, clearly enjoying just giving Nolan a hard time. "Aww fine," she says laughing. "I'm off to sleep. Listen to my message! And you can record a message back. Oh and he saw the holoprogram," she goes on, as she backs away, heading for the door out. "He likes it! I think he especially likes the boat. But I'll see you later," she says waving at Moncyu, performing her usual sharp salute to Nolan, before she's off.

Moncyu cracks open one eye, peeks at Emma and says under her breath but not really under her breath, "At least you get to go back to your quarters and don't have to sleep with your clothes on." She darts a look at Nolan, then slams her eye shut again and rolls over to go to sleep for real this time.
