The '''Alexandria-class''' is a multi-purpose deep space station designed and built in a time when Starfleet's primary mission was that of defense and safe-guarding the lives of the [[United Federation of Planets]]. The design is an improvement on older station designs, in that it is built from the ground up to be heavily armored, and heavily armed.

Variations on the design include several drydocks, or additional docking rings. This is in addition to the two dedicated docking rings.
