History
The current Steamrunner-class vessels are a remodel of an earlier design utilized by Starfleet in the late 24th century. Updated and configured with all the latest equipment, this vessel should prove to be an added asset to Starfleet's armada.
In 2456, two existing Steamrunner-class vessels, USS Appalachia and USS Nautilus, were repurposed for the Bajoran Militia.
