Transporter Room One <USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A>
The first feature of this room that catches one's eye upon entering is the large circular dais located to the left of the entrance. The transporter platform is marked with placeholders for six people, and the ceiling above is fitted with a variety of equipment to aid and assist the transport process, as is the platform itself.
Opposite the transporter platform on the other side of the room is the transporter control console, which bestows the system operator with a variety of tools to fine tune the process. The curved console is set into a circular platform, in much the same manner as the transporter system itself.

[Flight Suit (52577): Coil (PhxAux): Comm check]

Hauser is standing in the transporter room, helmet in hand, waiting for people to arrive, smiling.

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Reading you, Doc]

Castillo emerges from the EVA storage area with her suit partially sealed. She works to clasp everything down once she stops at the precipice of the transporter pad.

Ramirez looks over to Telula, blink-blinking. His visor is still up, leaving his face visible. He gives her a thumbs up and a thin smile.

Counselor Telula finishes wrestling her way into her EVA suit and picks up her medical bag. "Everyone line up for your radiogenic vaccine. Best we've got is enough to buy everyone about an hour or so," she instructs, pulling the hypospray injector from her medical bag.

Hauser still holds her helmet in her hand. "Big away team. We are still waiting for the doctors?" She steps forward. "Me first, counselor."

Kellen steps out of storage, still fiddling with his suit settings.

Castillo leaves part of her suit open for Telula to apply the medication, holding her position and patiently waiting for her turn.

Hauser grins at the Trill as she gets her injection.

Telula grins. "You first, Lieutenant," she agrees. Miri places the hypospray injector against Hauser's neck and injects a dose of the radiogenic vaccine. "Next," she calls out, quickly switching out the vial. She moves towards Castillo and grins up at her. "Luz, just a pinch," she says as she raises the injector to Castillo's neck and administers the vaccine.

Ramirez sighs. "Oh. These..." He looks crestfallen. "These damned things hurt." He rolls down the seal on his neck, turning his head to one side to expose it. "Get it over with...." He pretty clearly is not looking forward to this.

Kellen pops his helmet and gets ready for his own injection, "It is safe for my biology, right?"

Castillo quickly reseals her suit and completes a check of her person. She seems satisfied with the readings, keeping her visor raised.

[Flight Suit (52577): Ensign Castillo (PhxAux): Communications check.]

Hauser looks around at everyone's suits. She walks over to Coil. "Just let me know what you need when we're down there, Doc. you'll get it," she says in a friendly fashion. SHe puts her helmet into place and locks it down.

[Flight Suit (52577): Coil (PhxAux): 5x5, Ensign]

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Alright, get your injections and check each other's helmets. I have you all locked into the transporter.]

Blake enters the transporter room, securing the last of his gear to his belt and then finally attaching the helmet to his flight suit with a snap and a turn that engages the interlocks. He flips the visor up and casts a glance towards Kellen for a moment. He then looks back to Ramirez and shakes his head, "It's a hypospray. They don't hurt at all."

"Doctor Coil, you're not as interesting as you think you are," Miri states, grinning up at the Trill. She's already switched out the vial and readies it against his neck. "Perfectly safe," she says before leaning upwards and injecting him in the neck.

Miriella turns to face Ramirez and smiles, but it's a different sort of smile. After switching out the vial for a fresh one, Miri leans up and supplies him with his vaccine, right into the skin of his neck. Counselor Telula is quick to turn towards Blake, ejecting the spent vial and replacing it. "Here you go," she tells him as she leans up and administers the vaccine into his neck.

Ramirez winces at the shot, smiles back to Miri, then gives Tim a vague glare, and says, "I'm.....sensitive, okay?" More like defensive. Then he looks over to Coil. "Only killed one or two symbiotes, I heard. I'm sure it'll be fine." His smile is exceedingly polite. "But what do I know, I'm just an ensign."

Kellen seals up his suit again and moves to stand on the transporter pad, pulling out his tricorder and calibrating it.

Castillo steps up onto the transporter pad.

"Okay, Lieutenant," Counselor Telula announces as she makes her way for the transporter pad. Wait. Miri blinks, shakes her head, and readies the final dose. "Wow, my face would've been so red. Literally," she jokes before injecting herself with the radiogenic vaccine like the rest of the team. Miri slips the hypospray injector back into her medical bag and moves towards the transporter. "Don't listen to him, Doctor Coil," Miri tells Kellen, grinning at Ramirez before lowering her visor.

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant (jg) Telula (PhxAux): Testing.]

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Physician, heal thyself. Ready everyone? Give me a thumbs up real quick, thanks.]

Telula raises her hand in a thumbs-up gesture.

Castillo looks at herself one last time before glancing at Hauser and offering a thumbs up.

Lowering the visor once he's received his anti-radiation dose, Blake does one last check of his suit before he nods his head and announces through his external speaker, "Ready to go."

He takes the step onto the transporter pad, assuming the position to transport, which looks a little bit like the pose from the right Charlie's Angel.

Kellen gives a thumbs up, "Ready.

[Flight Suit (52577): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): Bridge to away team. You're good to go from our end.]

Hauser holds up her own hand in a thumbs up, grins, and manipulates a control on the remote armband on that hand.

Barren Wasteland <Havas-Kul>
A rocky landscape stretches off in every direction.

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Team is landed, bridge. Mission is starting.]

Coil uses Tricorder (2628) to scan Barren Wasteland.

Castillo checks herself after materializing on the surface. She spins about in place, looking at the surrounding landscape from behind her visor.

Kellen runs his tricorder, looking over the readings.

Hauser switches to her external speaker. "Like the view, Luz? Bridge, I hear you."

Ramirez gives Hauser a thumbs up once he materializes and checks all the telltales on his flight suit. Without a word, he brings his tricorder up, though, he's not actively scanning. He appears to be recording video of the event.

[Flight Suit (52577): Coil (PhxAux): Be careful, everyone. Gravity is 1.2Gs. With the suits, you weigh far more than you're used to.]

[Hauser's Commbadge] Hawthorn finishes setting up the science console as the comms connection is opened.

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): No marathons, doc? Got it.]

Lieutenant Hauser uses Tricorder (39639) to scan soil.

As he materializes, Blake looks around to check their surroundings and nods, reaching down to his belt to remove the tricorder with a grunt. He flips it open, holding it to begin a sweep of the area.

Blake scans the area with Tricorder (52500).

Counselor Telula slowly turns towards Ramirez, sloshing through the motions carefully. She lifts her hand and waves in his direction, to as to ensure she gets captured in his video.

Coil uses Tricorder (2628) to scan soil.

Coil attempts to get a sample of soil with Tricorder (2628).

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Ok, Doc, word is we're on a hunt for all things science and Hurr'q. It's your show.]

Castillo offers a shrug to Hauser, seemingly neither impressed or unimpressed with the terrain. She draws out her own tricorder and begins to take scans of the surrounding area.

Ensign Castillo scans the area with Tricorder (51300).

[Flight Suit (52577): Coil (PhxAux): Phoenix, are you tied into my tricorder? How is the uplink?]

[Flight Suit (52577): Blake (Avengers): When we get back to the ship, give me a rundown of what you meant by that interaction about being the Ensign. When we get back to the ship.]

[Flight Suit (52577): Espada (Avengers): Check.]

Ensign Castillo uses Tricorder (51300) to scan soil.

[Hauser's Commbadge] Worthington replies to the screen. "Uplink's good Kellen," he says, at least I think it is." He turns to the science station. "You getting their data Atlanta?" he asks.

[Hauser's Commbadge] "I'm trying to establish the connection now," Hawthorn says while pushing lots of buttons.

Blake continues his scans of the area, and anyone regarding him at this point would realize that he's talking, but no sound is coming through his external speakers.

Blake uses Tricorder (52500) to scan soil.

Counselor Telula glances in Hauser's direction. "Lieutenant, shall I reach out with my thoughts?" she asks, leaving out the point about not being sure how much good it will do.

Ramirez also seems to be talking, a moment after Blake finishes speaking. He, too, moves his tricorder around, but is clearly passively capturing video (and probably non-visual spectrums, too.)

[Hauser's Commbadge] "Got it," Hawthorn says. "I'm receiving data from your tricorder, Kellen."

Kellen very carefully kneels down to run scans on the soil itself, "Something decimated the ecology here. Maybe the mining, maybe just the orbit of the planet. I'll get some samples to evaluate upstairs."

[Hauser's Commbadge] Worthington considers the screen. "We also know, the Dominion definitely decimated part of the ecology here, and we don't know how they did it," he offers.

[Flight Suit (52577): Ramirez (PhxAux): Phoenix, this is Ramirez. broad-spectrum video being passively captured. High-gain Channel 423.]

Hauser frowns, thinking, then makes a command decision. "Only if you're sure you can safely do so. If you think you can, then by all means."

With consideration to her balance in the heavy gravity, Castillo takes a few careful steps towards the horizon. She holds out her tricorder and attempts to take readings of the air and ambient radiation.

Closing his tricorder, Blake returns it to his belt and takes a few steps away from the team, his eyes scanning the horizon to see if there's absolutely anything else living here other than them. Through his external speakers, Blake adds, "This gravity is something else."

Hauser moves over beside the Trill.

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): How about it, doc. Vacation spot of the Gamma Quadrant?]

[Flight Suit (52577): Coil (PhxAux): At certain times of the year. I think we're in the off season though.]

Ramirez nods over to Blake. "You're not kidding. This is no joke." He lifts one arm experimentally, holding it straight out with the tricorder.

[Hauser's Commbadge] Worthington keeps his attention focused on the screen as he talks to the bridge crew. "Bring the multiphasics online. I'd like to see if they might help us examine this planet in more detail. Feed all planetary scan data to science. I also want to look for any other potential transport sites."

"I know!" Counselor Telula tells Blake. "It's like the air is ... mud or something. I feel like a cow in this gravity." Miri nods at Hauser. "I should be fine, I think," she answers. "I've been near a Hur'q while he was 'shouting' if you get my meaning. I'm going to announce us now." Miri steps forward, placing a few pointless feet between herself and the others, and closes her eyes. She takes a deep breath and casts out her thoughts as far as she can, focusing entirely on making her ripples in the telepathic currents surrounding them...

Kellen collects his samples of the soil and then realizes his problem, "Been too long since I had to worry about EVA gear and higher gravity. I could use a hand up."

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): That's a good idea, bridge.]

Hauser extends a hand, planting her feet to help up the Trill. "Ramirez. Give me a hand, partner."

Ramirez nods to Hauser, moving to the other side of the scientist. He gives the Lieutenant a look as he reBlakes down, linking one arm under the scientist's. "On three?"

Hauser nods. "I like it better than 5. 1 ... 2 ... 3!"

Ramirez lifts at the same time, and, well...he's a very strong dude. Despite the gravity. With relative ease, he moves in unison with Hauser to lift Coil. "Lieutenant, in this gravity, we're going to quickly wear people out. I recommend a fatigue check every 15 minutes, say. We're one trip away from a broken femur, and the more tired people get, the more likely it is to happen."

Kellen gets pulled back up to his feet and nods, "Thank you, Jessica, Ramirez." He double-checks to make sure he didn't drop his tricorder on the way back up.

Counselor Telula turns to face the group, slowly wading through the heavier-than-usual gravity. "Okay, Lieutenant," she tells Hauser. "I've signaled that we're here. Who knows if anyone's even around to hear me." Miri slogs her way back to them, waiting to catch her breath from the effort. "Everyone, this is really important," she calls out. "If we do have Hur'q visitors, it's extremely important that you not take any actions that could be seen as aggressive."

[Hauser's Commbadge] Worthington looks to Hawthorn. "Picking up anything noteworthy with the multiphasic tie-in?" he asks.

Castillo uses her tricorder to take a sample of the atmosphere, storing it and the radiation readings for safe keeping. She takes her device and places it back on her person, turning to look at the others present, stepping slowly towards the away team.

Hauser nods and thumbs up to Ramirez and Telula.

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Easy does it, everyone. No fast moves for the sake of your health and any arrivals. How about that soil, Doc?]

[Hauser's Commbadge] "The multiphasic mode is active, but I'm not getting anything of interest yet," the tiny scientist says. She keeps her eyes on her console.

Kellen looks around and moves to a different location to run a confirmation set of scans, "Not much left here. We'll have to analyze the samples up in the lab, it looks like."

[Flight Suit (52577): Blake (PhxAux): Copy]

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Any traces of Hur'q burrowing ships past or present?]

"Lieutenant," Miriella says. "I'm not sensing anything. Or anyone. I don't feel the presence of Hur'q here." She sighs softly at that.

"I don't sense anyone either," Blake adds to the report, continuing with some gravity to his tone, "with my eyes, or my ears." He shoots a quick grin towards Miri, but then catches the sigh, his face becoming serious once again.

[Hauser's Commbadge] Atlanta keeps watching the scan data coming in from Kellen's tricorder.

Kellen finishes up his scans, "I think that's all I'll be able to get, unless someone sees something of interest."

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Bridge, we're getting ready to return.]

Hauser waits for anyone to speak or forever hold their peace.

Castillo takes another look out at the horizon, then to Kellen. She offers a shake of her head.

Ramirez shakes his head to Hauser.

Telula shakes her head.

[Hauser's Commbadge] Worthington nods to Hawthorn. "Once the away team is back aboard, we're going to turn off the multiphasics. Please collect any scan data you get from them to analyze along with the tricorder data." He looks at the screen. "You are bringing back samples for analysis?" he asks.

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Affirmative. I know Doctor Coil has samples, and I think Ensign Castillo has atmospheric samples.]

[Hauser's Commbadge] "Ok," Hawthorn says, still without looking up from her console.

[Flight Suit (52577): Ensign Castillo (PhxAux): I took an atmospheric sample and a snapshot of the radiation.]

[Flight Suit (52577): Ramirez (PhxAux): For whatever its value, I have multispectral passive recordings in near-IR, IR and visual spectrums.]

Blake takes one last look around, his eyes moving down to the ground. He tilts his head left and right before he leans over and picks up a couple of choice looking rocks to bring back as samples, trying to remember what he can from high school geology.

Kellen carefully rejoins the away team, "If this was the Hur'q homeworld, things are in bad shape.

"They are not here," Counselor Telula replies to Kellen with little joy in her tone.

[Flight Suit (52577): Lieutenant Hauser (PhxAux): Ok, stand by to beam up, Energizing on 3.]

Hauser holds up three fingers, 2, 1 ...

[Flight Suit (52577): Blake (PhxAux): Just in case they're scientifically significant, I'm going to collect a couple rocks for later analysis, whilst kicking myself for not taking better notes in geology at the Academy.]

[Hauser's Commbadge] Worthington nods to Hawthorn, then signals ops to cut contact.

Transporter Room One <USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A>

Kellen tucks away his tricorder and starts to unseal his suit, "Never think much about gravity until it's stronger than normal."

As soon as she materializes, Counselor Telula awkwardly fishes through her medical bag and Blakes for her medical tricorder. She begins taking scans of each member of the away team, checking to confirm that the vaccines did their job. "Just double checking," she quietly announces, moving through the group as each person starts unsealing their suits.

Castillo immediately begins to take her EVA suit off upon transporting back to the ship. She holds still for Telula's examination before going back into removing the artificial exoskeleton.

Lieutenant (jg) Telula uses Medical Tricorder (52597) to scan Castillo. As he rematerializes, Blake steps off the transporter pad. He waits for Telula to give him the all clear after the radiation exposure before lifting his visor.

Ramirez blows a breath out as soon as his visor pops open. He gives Miri a little lopsided grin. "It's been at least a week since I was in sickbay, Miri. Where's your sense of adventure."

Miri gives Castillo a quick thumbs-up before moving on to scan Blake.

"No signs of sickness, Ensign, but take it easy tonight, hmm?" she comments to Blake before stepping over to Ramirez. "My sense of adventure is right where I left it," she tells him, giving him a quick scan with the tricorder.

Lieutenant (jg) Telula uses Medical Tricorder (52597) to scan Ramirez.

Kellen looks over at Ramirez, "Thank you for the assist down there, Ramirez. I appreciate it and I owe you."

Castillo finishes getting out of the EVA suit before meandering over towards the EVA storage section, ready to put the suit away.

Blake looks down to the tricorder, then nods, "Alright." He reBlakes up to flip open his visor, looking to Kellen, "Do you need any assistance returning your EVA suit back to storage, Doctor?"

Ramirez looks, frankly, surprised at Coil's statement. There is a slight inclination of his head, and he blinks. "It's not a problem, Doctor Coil. It's why I'm there. To help. Happy to do so." His gaze lingers speculatively on the scientist, before he looks to Telula. "All's well?"

"You're looking good, Ensign," Miri tells Ramirez, glancing up from the medical tricorder after performing the scan. She winks at him before moving over towards Kellen. "Doctor Coil, your turn," she says. A quick pass of the medical tricorder probe is all it takes.

Kellen shakes his head to Blake, "I think I remember how to properly check and store EVA suits, Blake. Thank you for the offer."

Blake nods to Kellen and responds, "Alright. Alert a crew member if the locker doesn't allow you access for any reason." He then turns, looking towards Ramirez, "Well, buddy, that answers one question but brings up so many more." He lifts one hand, "On one hand, Counselor Telula's bedside manner must consist mostly of fibbing." He then raises the other hand, "On the other hand, I recall everything she's told me recently. Like I should take it easy. Should I? Was I going to? Nothing is real anymore, Cris."

Ramirez smirks over to Blake at the comment, brushing with the backs of his fingers along the left breast of his flight suit. "Such harsh words, Ensign Blake. It's harsh, to live in the reality of someone so fetching as I." A soft little tsk. He motions, then, to Telula. "And I mean this in all seriousness. Counselor Telula has a wonderfully professional bedside demeanor." He nods, sharply. "Anything she says in that context, you can take as truth and gospel."

"Looks like the vaccine worked just fine for you and your little friend, Doctor Coil," Miri tells him. "No signs of radiation poisoning." She grins and takes a moment to scan herself, watching the readings appear on the handheld. "Boys, boys, boys," she practically lectures, looking up from her tricorder to grin in Blake's direction.

Lieutenant (jg) Telula uses Medical Tricorder (52597) to scan Telula.

Kellen nods, "Thank you, Counsellor." He gives a wave to everyone, "I need to get down to the labs and check the samples. Thank you."
