Sickbay <USS Callisto NX-99901>
Sickbay aboard the vessel serves multiple functions, it is the trauma center, recovery room, and exam room. It can get a bit crowded when busy. This ward is capable of handling multiple injured personnel simultaneously, with the room separated into three sections, with a biobed in each. An alcove off to the side provides quick access to equipment and supplies needed for several types of emergencies. Black, glossy panelling runs uninterrupted along the bulkheads at shoulder height near the entry door, allowing access to the LCARS interface, and tracers set into the bulkheads close to the ceiling indicate the current alert status.

>Intercom< T'Shaav says, "Senior personnel, report to observation lounge. Chief Petty Officer Nevabi as well, please."
>Intercom< Nevabi says, "I'm in sickbay, sir, I haven't been released yet."
>Intercom< Lieutenant T'Shaav says, "Understood. Thank you."

Lieutenant T'Shaav arrives from Central Corridor - Amidships.

Samar is sitting on one of the biobeds, her feet swaying. She looks bored out of her tree.

T'Shaav steps into sickbay and nods politely to the staff on duty. "Chief. In light of your medical status, I wanted to see if you would be agreeable to talking with us. I will have them come here."

Samar hops off the bed, "Or, you can get these nice folks to let me go." She nods her head vigorously a few times.

T'Shaav nods. "I would if I could," she says dryly. "But medical knows what it is about, so I defer to them. I am glad to see you so enthused." She touches the intercom.

Lieutenant T'Shaav taps something in on the computer interface panel.

>Intercom< Lieutenant T'Shaav says, "Correction. Senior staff, report to sickbay."

Samar asks, "Sorry about my attire, sir. I don't remember what I did with my uniform before that last mission. Someone said you found my commbadge, is it still functional?"

T'Shaav nods. "So far as I know, it is. I am not sure whether it is aboard the Callisto though."

Lieutenant (jg) Chandler arrives from Central Corridor - Amidships.

Samar is standing next to a biobed as she converses with T'Shaav. "I guess I can replicate a new one as well, same with the uniform."

Chandler makes her way into the sickbay, looking around with a bright smile then. "Hey guys."

T'Shaav nods to chandler. "Good evening, Lieutenant," she says. "Chief Nevabi and I were discussing the fate of her commbadge. I trust all is well with the ship?"

Samar says, "How am I supposed to know?" She winks at T'Shaav knowing full well the question was posed to Sybil.

Chandler chuckles a bit. "Well when I last checked....yes. But this isn't my command...." Smirking she looks over to Nevabi and smiles. "How are you feeling?"

Samar smiles at Sybil, "Restless, couped up, and sore. They call these things beds." She pats the one beside her, "But they aren't designed for a good sleep."

T'Shaav stands near the other biobed. "Chief, we hope to discuss your time away. Before we go back to Zeria or anywhere else, it would be invaluable to us to learn what you have discovered."

Chandler nods as she chuckles a bit. "I hated it when I was stuck on one for a bit." Winking she then goes quiet as T'Shaav gets tot he matter at hand.

Samar hops back up onto the biobed, one foot tucked underneath her, the other dangling. "Makes perfect sense sir. There isn't a whole lot to tell though, but I'll do my best. Do you want it point form, or a novela?"

"How about the novella," T'Shaav says, "since we do not yet know what might prove important. Lieutenant Chandler will help me sort it out." Chandler gets a wry eyebrow.

Chandler blinks as she hears T'Shaav then looks back to Nevabi. "Well...then....novella it is then."

Samar starts at the beginning, "It all started back on that mining planet. The Overlords, I mean the Qee, started bombing the place. You all were beamed up and when the transporter didn't come for me, I couldn't sit still long or my goose was cooked. I made my way quickly across the street and into the larger structure where the transport pod was. Ultimately it wouldn't be enough cover, but it seemed the safest place at the time. I'd barely made it inside before I was being pulled along by Shirol, Saluuk was there as well, he was operating the transport pod. Before I knew it everything went black, or was it bright?", she shrugs, "but I was in a large building. Shirol and Saluuk both took off, I never even got a chance to thank them. But I wasn't the only one, about twenty others had been transported off too."

T'Shaav nods, folding her hands before her and listening intently.

Chandler nods as she smiles. "Well thank goodness for them then."

Samar continues, "I wandered around for a bit, found a nice quiet place amongst a bunch of crates. There were rows and rows of them. Anyways, I wanted to collect my thoughts, figure out next steps, but that wasn't going to happen. This asshole tried to get handsy with me. What is it with some men?" She shakes her head, a little fury in her eyes. "Anyways, that must have been when my commbadge fell out of my pocket. The guy didn't take the hint when I nearly broke his wrist, it wasn't until he was knocked out flat on his face." She shrugs. "Eventually I had to get some food, and it was pretty obvious people work for things, so I did a couple rounds of hauling crates around from the transport pod, then settled in to eat with everyone else."

"So your badge was lost on the next planet you came to," T'Shaav murmurs. "Was that on a planet with a processing plant? Does that sound familiar?"

Chandler glances to T'Shaav then back to Nevabi. "Well at least you stayed safe." She then looks back to the Vulcan woman. "Wasn't it where you 'politely' absconded Shirol from? He said he found it...."

Samar nods to T'Shaav, "Yep, that's the place. I was only there a couple days. Most of the people kept to themselves, or in small groups. There were a few exceptions, and some who just liked to boss others around, but it was all work and no play, pretty boring. But then", she pauses for effect, "I spotted Shirol again. He didn't want to talk to me at first, but a woman has her ways. Have you ever kissed an Andorian?" She shakes her head. "Anyways, he softened up and we got to talking. We talked about going home someday, but he said he and the others had a mission. He mentioned a base of operations, but not where. They were organizing medical supplies and food for anyone who needed it. They were also looking for other lost Antietam crew. I didn't get exact numbers, but I think there were about twenty of them in total. You met a few, Peter, Gary, Saluuk, David, and of course Shirol." She takes a long breath, "Anyways, I offered to help them, if I could. None of them were willing to take me to their base, but I started working on that farm world, getting food for those who need it. It seemed like a worthwhile venture, so kept at it. Then you all showed up." She smiles.

"We arrived at that planet shortly after you left it," T'Shaav says. "We met Shirol there and ... it went poorly. He was determined to keep your comm badge and let his resistance cell use it. I was opposed to that as well as some other things." A dry beat. "We know that some Antiedam crew members have fallen in with a resistance movement against the Qee. One thing Shirol mentioned was a ship some of the rebels were building. Well, we found that, and the rebel crew blew the ship up while attempting to launch it, leaving us effectively where we began."

Chandler seems to tense up for a moment then as she nods then. "So who's actually in charge then?"

"Well that sneaky bastard, he never mentioned seeing you, or having my commbadge." Samar says shaking her head, "Next time I see him, he's getting a smack." her expression is a little dreamy for a second. "I don't know that any one person was in charge. They weren't using the rank structure anymore, but there were hints of it still. Shirol deferring to David, or Peter for sure, he was his superior on the Antietam back in the day. But, they seemed to rely on consensus for most decisions. Everyone chipping in where they can." She looks at T'Shaav, "You found the people making the ship? Shirol and the others were concerned about that. Mostly it was not knowing what would be the Overlord response. Would they kill everyone on the planet because a few built a ship?" She sighs, "I'm sorry to hear they failed. Any news on that colony, were there repercussions?"

"We have not been to that world since the ship's launch," T'Shaav says, "because we had some rescued Antiedam crew to return to the Phoenix." A beat. "We have the same concerns about reprisals, and I believe we will do a flyby at some point to find out the status there." She considers. "Chief, in your opinion, how do you think we should go about getting these people out? There are some who are eager to return and who have been waiting for rescue. But then there are people like Shirol who are bent on some kind of resistance and invested in staying. Yet, I do not think we can leave them here in the end. Your thoughts?"

Seeing that look, Chandler smirks slightly but says nothing. There's a bit of quiet but she continues. "I think we need to sit down with these guys. Shiro, David, Peter....whomever. Maybe we need to help but have a coming to Jesus with them."

Samar smiles softly at T'Shaav, "Sir, that sounds like a command question. I work for a living." She winks but continues. "Honestly though sir. The people here are in trouble. Some of them are Federation citizens. All of them are enslaved. Providing food and medical supplies is a nice start, but this needs to end." She holds up a hand, "And before you ask if I mean getting into an all out brawl or war with the Overlords, I don't. But there must be a way, diplomatically, or something."

"One of the first things I learned about command," T'Shaav says, "is that your subordinates' experience can be invaluable. I agree with you that there must be some way, and it cannot involved direct military conflict with the Qee. The Phoenix would not survive. But this must, indeed, end." She turns to Chandler and asks, seemingly all serious, "What is Jesus, and how will getting to it help us negotiate an understanding with these people?"

Chandler blinks a few times then just holds her hands up. "We don't have the time to get into that....." Laughing she then looks to Samar again. "Do you think this David guy will be a good person to try and talk some things out with? I think Shirol may not be so open but David or even Peter might?"

Samar nods her head slowly, "In the right setting. Sure. They were all really nice to me, though they never opened up about their plans, but I wouldn't either. To be frank sirs, they are still Starfleet. I've not seen them do anything contrary to that. We're all still part of the same team. They just have different orders, or a different mission." She shrugs.

"In the right setting? Referring to conferring with them?" T'Shaav clarifies. "In that case, we need to understand fully what that mission, as it were, is, and persuade them that they have done enough. We still have not located any ranking command officers from the Antiedam, nor the ship itself, if it remains intact. I rather suspect it does not." A beat and she turns to Chandler. "I foresee we will be going back. Though this time, in the open. These people know who we are, and the best path we have towards moving this mission forward is here."

Chandler shifts her weight as she seems to think. "Maybe....I'll....." She seems to think. "Yeah that's a good idea." Internally she's screaming. "Best to work side by side....."

Samar asks, "Here sir? In this mining colony? They might help with the promise of food, but I didn't get the feeling the others were sticking around. They had people on that farming colony the whole time I was there. That might be a better place to try and contact them?"

T'Shaav nods. "We will have to use the transport pod to get back there," she says. She turns to Chandler. "Though first, we should life scan the planet and make sure no more Federation lifesigns remain here. If there are, we still have business here even so. Have that scan done and let me know what you find."

Samar says, "If you have a way to track me, I can go back to the farming colony. If its within range, you can meet me there with the Callisto? Just an offer, sir."

Samar mumbles to herself, "I have something to settle with an Andorian as well."

Chandler licks her lips as she then nods a bit. "Well....there's those tracking things but I don't know what Anewan is at with them...." She then looks over to T'Shaav. "Maybe divide and conquer? I can go speak with these guys and you can scan and see if we can track down others here?"

Samar says to Sybil, "You kinda look like David, the same eyes. Small world."

T'Shaav looks to Nevabi. "Your offer is generous, but we will defer to medical's assessment of you and releasing you before we take you up on that. Otherwise, I would have some displeased doctors and command staff to answer to." She shakes her head to Chandler. "Let's get the scan done. Then, we will at least see where our business lies."

Samar nods, "I'm fine sir, but will wait for their ruling." She assumes her part in the conversation is over and starts talking with one of the nurses.
