- Central Park <Emissary Station>
- The central most hub of the station is affectionately known as Central Park, and is aptly named. The entirety of the area is green space, nearly half a kilometer wide, with rolling hills, manicured lawns, trees, and a myriad of native Bajoran flowering bushes, all intertwined with worn foot paths.
- One such foot path leads to a corner of the park where the Bajoran Temple resides.
- Out the viewport: The yellow hue of the nearby star can be seen.
Anewan is surveying the park with one of his advisors trying to decide where to set up items for the celebration
Toran exits the lift and starts to make his way around the park, looking about. He eventually spots Anewan and makes his way over through the greenery. "Evening captain," he says.
Anewan turns around, not quite used to the new voices just yet. "AH. Major. I am glad you are here. We are of course spacing out the Park for the eventually celebration," he points near the Turbolift, "There we will have
springwine and prosecco served on trays for people to grab as they enter if they like. I thouhgt it best to keep it opposite of the Temple," then he points directly to the middle of the park. There is where we will have an elevated stage. A with podium along with seats behind the podium for the dignitaries," then once more he points along the sides of the stage. "And on both sides, partitions for all of the attendees. Nice and simple."
Toran nods, considering. "Perhaps I should speak to the local Vedek and arrange a blessing and thanks to the Prophets four Dr. Tikar's noble work," he says thoughtfully.
Anewan nods, "Good idea. Is there any type of music we can have for the celebration? Is there a popular musician on Bajor or even better, on the station? And food, do you think appetizers?
Toran considers as he paces, glancing at the park area. "This is very much a Bajoran celebration, so Bajoran fare would be appropriate. As for music, I would not be the right one to ask."
Anewan nods in agreement, "I will endeavor to have all bajoran involvement," but then his tone changes. "I am concerned about security Major. It is a wide open space and any and all are invited. "This Tikar Rilan is a national treasure right?"
Toran considers. "National, treasure? National hero for sure," he replies.
Anewan frowns and rubs his chin, "Are there any terrorists organizations on Bajor?"
Toran chuckles at that. "The Cardassians certainly thought so, but that was a long time ago," he says. "Before my ancestors moved to New Bajor, during the occupation. Though to us, the resistance fighters were never terrorists." He pauses. "In our recent past, there was a movement centered around Dreon and Free Haven to distance themselves from Bajor itself, but that was also years ago. I have not been briefed on any Bajoran terrorists or security threats as of late. Not with the Dominion taking center stage in recent events.
Anewan nods in relief, "Then it should be a great day for Bajor." He nods to his advisor to get started. "I seem to remember you wanting to get in touch with the 8th fleet. Still need that?"
Toran considers. "With a particular upgrade here, we can contact them," he says, considering. "They've been made aware of recent events and are involved in the security umbrella, to my understanding."
Toran nods. "For the moment," he replies, continuing to survey the area. "I shall inform your office and local Starfleet assets if that changes captain."
"Thank You Major. I'll see you soon."
