Transporter Room One <USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A>

Tilar arrives from Deck 1 - Aft Corridor.

Ensign Nimah arrives from Deck 1 - Aft Corridor.

Ramirez arrives from Deck 1 - Aft Corridor.

Castillo is standing at the transporter console, having began programming the appropriate sequence to bring everyone down safely.

Castillo looks to everyone as they shuffle out of the EVA storage area. "Step up if you are ready." She instructs.

Cristobal moves up to the transporter pad, taking his place. His hands are free and as he steps up, he closes the visor on his EVA suit.

Tilar similarly lifts one hand to lower the visor on her EVA suit and steps up onto the transporter pad.

Nimah heads over to join the other two, also ensuring that her visor is closed.

Castillo transports the science supplies down to the surface with the flick of a wrist. She lets the transporter chief take her position before moving onto the padd, flipping down her visor to match, and ordering, "Energize."

[Transporter Console: Verifying pattern locks...]

Swirls of energy whip around your deconstructed body. Shimmering lumination dances about your form uncontrollably, dazzling every sense.

Clearing <Interia I>
One of the few spots on the planet that isn't covered in crystal. The ground underfoot is softly packed dirt which stirs up with each step. Due to the higher gravity, the dust settles quickly.
Some kind of music can be heard, almost like it is being brought in by the wind.

[Remote Uplink Device (51307): Ramirez, Ensign Nimah, Tilar, and Castillo transported to Clearing]

Cristobal looks around immediately upon regaining the ability to use his senses. The first thing he does is frown slightly as he hears the music. His head tilts, and for an instant, he looks like a human German Shepherd hearing an odd sound.

Tilar looks around as she materializes on the planet's surface, one hand moving to retrieve the tricorder to flip it open. "Am I the only one who hears that?" she asks, looking from one person to the next.

"Not the only one who hears that." Nimah assures Tilar as she looks around. Cristobel might be frowning, but Nimah is smiling. "It's pretty!" She also moves for her tricorder, to start getting some information.

Castillo gives the environment a quick glance as she rematerializes. Her brow furrows at the sound across the wind, glancing to Tilar as she speaks. "You're not." She lets her hand drop to her tricorder, drawing out the small device, but not rushing to use it. "Lieutenant." Her attention to Ramirez. "After you've taken a look around, help the Ensign with her equipment." A motion is made to the sample containers. "We should get started filling them as soon as possible."

Ramirez brings his tricorder up. Quietly, he murmurs to himself, "Computer, begin full spectrum audio/visual/comm log reporting of this mission from my suit's perspective." That task down, he hangs his tricorder from its mount.

He doesn't look concerned, precisely. Just very alert. He nods to Castillo, voice clipped and brusque. "Aye, sir." He turns to Nimah, hanging his tricorder. "Ensign. Joking aside, tell me what you need and where you need it. I'm better adapted for this work." He motions to the stack of gear.

There's the thought of 'oh heavy grav wont be that bad' when still shipboard, and then there's actually feeling it dragging your body down with every movement. The Ensign is not at all adapated to this environment. "We'll want samples of both the dirt and the crystalline outcroppings. I'm not picking up anything especially interesting on my tricorder, or at least nothing we didn't expect from the ship scan."

Tilar nods when she has other people confirm that she's not the only one who can hear the music floating in the air. She looks down at her tricorder, running a quick scan of the area while Ramirez and Nimah turn to begin setting up the equipment. "It's possible that it's the air whistling through geological formations, or vibrations from crystals," she suggests.

Castillo spends a couple of moments looking out of the clearing and into the field. "I think we're going to have an easier time collecting the soil samples here." A motion is made towards the field, "And the crystalline samples out there." She moves over to the bundle of science equipment, stowing her tricorder, and beginning to help Ramirez and Nimah with the setup.

Ramirez nods to Tilar, and glances over. "Basic music theory, Doctor." He nods in the direction of the nearest clump of crystal. "The crystal will have a resonance based on size and composition. In turn, that will dictate a frequency." He grins. "Or, you know. That's what some big brain told me, once."

Then he nods to Nimah, moving the indicated sample containers into position for her to use. He looks to Castillo. "I recommend two-person teams, sir. Better safe than sorry."

"We'll want to see what resonance the crystal is attuned to, and pick that up in the logs." Nimah notes as she helps getting things set up. She's moving slowly. "An atmospheric sample as well. I dont recall much in the way of water on this planet."

Tilar nods to Castillo. "Agreed. The soil looks more accessible here. We won't have to dig down to get it. It might be worth getting a second sample out there, though, if we have time. In case there's a difference." Her shoulders roll slightly and one hand moves to press flat against her stomach for a moment, the tricorder snapped closed and returned to its spot at her belt. "Basic music theory?" she asks, looking over at Ramirez.

"I mean.. resonance is pretty much back to physics. Cause EVERYTHIG is physics." Nimah pffts softly. As if somehow its the crystals' fault that everything is physics. She starts moving off a little from the group, clearly impatient to go explore the crystal rather than the dirt.

Castillo nods to Ramirez, "Given the nature of the environment and the weight of the equipment, we'll stick together." She finishes uncrating/moving the equipment from the pile, looking at the sample containers. "Ensign, if you could begin with the soil samples." Her attention flicking to Ramirez and Tilar. "We'll assist you where needed."

Cristobal stands ready to move equipment as needed, looking to Nimah for guidance at this point. AS the sound whistles its haunting tune, he looks to the sky. "You know....this reminded me of some of the experimental musicians that tried to incorporate multiple musical forms in the late 22nd century." His head shakes. "There's a pattern in the random noise. Probably just coincidence."

"What she said," Tilar says, tugging her medical kit forward and opening it to remove the more specially-configured tricorder. "It might not be random, Lieutenant. What does it sound like to you? You're more musically inclined than I am." The Trill woman looks around at the rest of the group, studying them for a moment before asking, "Everyone feels okay, right?"

There's a huff of vague irritation from the Denobulan as she's pulled back from going to look at crystal to come back to the dirt. Nimah looks over to Cristobal. "Might be coincidence, might just be how things are arranged. Right. Soil. If you could get samples from multiple locations of soil and note the location on the samples. Some closer to where we've landed, some closer to the crystal." She looks over to that crystal just over there.

Castillo takes one of the sample boxes as Nimah directs Ramirez to help. She motions towards herself while looking at Ramirez, then gesturing at where they had beamed in at, moving to the location. "I'll get the boring spots." Her comment made with a look towards the field of crystals. "And...doctor, I'm feeling fine."

Ramirez freezes in place suddenly, head again tilting in his human German Shepherd impression. A sample container just...stop moving as he listens, focused and intent on something. After a moment, carefully, he sets the container down, and says over the local comms network, his tone formal, tight, and controlled. "Doctor Tilar. Please scan me. Look for any signs of distress. Vitals changing. Neurological issues."

His tone is dead serious. He's not joking. "Now, please, Doctor." He doesn't seem panicked. Just...very focused on something.

[Remote Uplink Device (51307): Alue@Desktop Terminal@Mission Operations: Phoenix to away team, be advised that we have a comms link only with Lieutenant Castillo, not the other three.]

[Remote Uplink Device (51307): Alue@Desktop Terminal@Mission Operations: For clarification, we mean EVA comms.]

The security guy might be worried about .. something that he wants the doctor to check out, but Nimah isn't waiting for that. She takes one of the sample kits, heading off towards the crystal fields that have caught her attention. No time like the present.

Tilar goes very still, eyes snapping over to Ramirez as he speaks. "Not just me then," she mutters, walking over to him. The tricorder runs along him, checked carefully before she shakes her head. "Slightly elevated heart rate, but nothing immediately alarming. What are you feeling?" Then the tricorder is flipped around, the device run over her own body.

Castillo looks to Tilar and Ramirez with significant concern, almost failing to catch Nimah wandering towards the field of crystals. "Ensign." She says to the Denobulan, trying to catch her attention. "We're not done with the samples here..." Her voice trailing off as she looks to Tilar. "Are you feeling unwell too?" Referencing back to the doctor's first comment. With a tap of her commbadge, she signals the Phoenix.

[Castillo's Commbadge] Sending request for communication to USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A.

[Remote Uplink Device (51307): Incoming communications request from Castillo]

The broad-shouldered, tallish man keeps a steady, calm voice. "It's important that you all understand that I don't /feel/ unwell or different than I did five minutes ago. But I would swear before a judge and a priest that I heard my name being called by the crystal sounds on the wind."

"I heard it. I am sure of it."

[Castillo's Commbadge] Communications channel to USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A open.

[Castillo's Commbadge] Alue says, "Phoenix. Lieutenant Alue."

Sure the Ensign SHOULD pause when the Lieutenant tells her to stay where she is, but clearly the Denobulan isn't entirely listening as she heads for the crystal.

"Not... unwell, per se," Tilar tells Castillo, shaking her head. She looks over the readings before looking up and around at the group, pointing at Nimah who is running off. "Someone better follow her. There are no strange readings here, but I am definitely feeling tired. That could easily be the fact that I skipped leg day, though." A glance given to Ramirez at the somewhat inside joke. "There's something going on, but I'm not sure what yet."

Ensign Nimah leaves for Crystal Field.

"USS Phoenix, lock onto our lifesigns and bring us back to the ship." Castillo says into her commbadge. "The away team is experiencing strange sensations." She watches as Nimah wanders towards the field without stopping. "We need to get back to the ship for further assessment."

[Castillo's Commbadge] Alue taps quickly at her console. "I can only get a lock on three of you, Lieutenant. Ensign Nimah is off my grid."

Ramirez says nothing while Alue speaks over comms, then looks over to Castillo. "I'm better positioned to chase her down, sir. I recommend that you stay here with the doctor. Have Prina keep a lock on me as long as possible. I am willing to bet the crystals interfere with a pattern lock, Luz. I'll drag her back here. Don't move. Stay together."

"Lieutenant, with all due respect, I think that's a little premature," Tilar says, hearing Castillo's order. "This could very well be some kind of psychic communication. We don't know what it is yet, but the medical scans don't indicate any immediate threat or risk. It's an odd sensation, but there is no pain, and Lieutenant Ramirez clearly still has his faculties despite hearing his name on the wind."

"You're having auditory hallucina..." Castillo starts to confront Ramirez's idea, before listening to Tilar speak up. "...and you're not concerned with potential psychic communication." She looks out at the field, with a tortured look. "Phoenix, standby, we're going to get Ensign Nimah back into transporter range." Her attention to Ramirez and Tilar. "Together." She pauses. "Keep the channel open." Her feet kicking into gear, dropping the sample container on the ground as she moves towards the field of crystal.

Crystal Field <Interia I>
As far as the eye can see, a field of glistening crystal. During the day the refraction is nearly blinding, but also vibrant and colourful. During the night, starlight bounces from one crystal to another, over and over again, filling the field with an endless sea of stars.
Sound waves cascade across the field from one area to the next, it is quite beautiful and melodic, almost like the crystal is singing.

[Castillo's Commbadge] Alue blinks, glancing around uncertainly. "Uh... Acknowledged," she replies to the away team.

Cristobal nods, not arguing the point. As he goes, he looks over to Castillo. "We're going to have fatigue problems, if we try to move quickly over broken ground with the doctor. Then we'll have two casualties to deal with. Be cognizant of it." He doesn't stop moving, easily keeping pace with Castillo, but his tone does convey the seriousness of his advice.

Cranky is not Nimah's general state, not even a frequent state to visit, but she's found it as she stomps off away from the group. The crystal is magical and the song is compelling and .. grates just wholly wrong. She knows for certain that they need to get samples, and there's no way they can fit the whole field in a sample container. A chisel and hammer were a reasonable thing to bring when knowing one needs rock samples and provide an uncharacteristically violent way to get crystal.

Tilar doesn't rush. She walks steadily, likely trailing a bit behind Castillo and Ramirez, but she's moving. The medical tricorder remains in hand, something that she's not entirely ready to let go of, apparently. "Okay, THAT doesn't look like normal behavior," she concedes, peering over at the rather adamant Nimah. And then she gasps audibly, one arm curling over her abdomen as she bends over, face contorting in pain. "I was wrong..."

[Castillo's Commbadge] Incoming communication request from USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A.

[Castillo's Commbadge] Connection from USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A lost; out of range.

Castillo draws out her tricorder and she proceeds into the field of crystals, trying to keep up with Nimah as she moves away from the group. She scans the area, trying to keep a lock on the Denobulan. "Keep sight of her." Her comment directed at Ramirez, turning to look at him, gesturing towards the wayward Ensign. "The sensors here are junk, if we lose sight, it'll be hard to find her." Then, Tilar begins to double over. "Doctor?!"

[EVA Suit II (26089): Communications uplink to USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A established]

[EVA Suit II (26089): Castillo (PhxAux): Phoenix, do you read me?]

Tilar uses Medical Tricorder (55531) to scan Tilar.

[EVA Suit II (26089): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): Phoenix to away team, we read you. We had to overpower our comms system to max, but we have you. What's your status?]

[EVA Suit II (26089): Castillo (PhxAux): The away team is behaving abnormally. I have limited evidence to support it, but I believe they're suffering from some sort of mental ailment. I'm seemingly unaffected.]

Ramirez immediately taps the side of his helmet in the Federation-standard hand signal for a dead transmitter. He tries the local line-of-sight link. "Comm check. Can you hear me, Lieutenant Castillo?" He turns to face her so that she can see his lips moving behind his visor.

Then he simply flicks on the external suit speakers. He clears his throat, about to speak, when Tilar doubles over in pain. There's a pause, then: "Aye, sir." He moves to make certain that a single motion won't deprive him of line of sight to Nimah. He stays put, but grows increasingly wary about his surroundings.

It's probably a mercy for the poor crystal that the wayward Ensign in question is a delicate, petite Denobulan. She might be attempting to beat up the crystal with hammer and chisel, but she's really mostly dulling the chisel. There's some phrases that really only need intonation to get their point across, speaking the langauge is not strictly required. Nimah has settled into her native langauge at volume as she yells at the crystal. It certainly doesnt SOUND polite.

[EVA Suit II (26089): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): We're weighing options, away team. Standby.]

"Go get her," Tilar gasps out in reply to Castillo's alarm, gesturing vaguely in Nimah's direction, but she stands where she is. Slowly, carefully, she straightens up just enough to run the tricorder over herself again. Hearing the comms, she swallows drily, some strain audible in her voice. "It appears that Ensign Nimah and Lieutenant Ramirez are experiencing some kind of hallucinations. Lieutenant Ramirez was aware of this at last check-in, but it's possible he may lose his sense of self." She takes a few deep breaths, examining the tricorder readings. "I am experiencing some chemical imbalances that would likely be life threatening were I joined, and it's... painful."

[EVA Suit II (26089): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): Lieutenant Castillo, if you can get everyone back to the beamdown point, we can get a lock on you there. Can you get everyone back there?]

Castillo looks out towards Nimah, eyes tracing to Ramirez who is standing between them. She glances at Tilar, who is doubling over in pain. Lastly, she looks at her tricorder, mentally walking herself through a plan. "Ramirez!" She calls out, moving towards him. "Change of plans." Her concern weighing as heavily as her suit is as she moves towards him. "Go back to the beam out coordinates with the doctor, transport back to the ship." She offers out her hand, the free one. "Your phaser, please. I might need it."

[EVA Suit II (26089): Castillo (PhxAux): I am ordering Lieutenants Ramirez and Tilar back to the transport site. Please standby for further requests.]

Cristobal blinks to Castillo as he takes his phaser off his belt. "You can't carry her, Luz. I can." He holds the phaser out to her. "But sure. Whatever."

Ramirez hands you Type-2 Phaser (39586) (holstered).

[EVA Suit II (26089): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): Acknowledged. Standing by.]

Cristobal does as instructed and tries to carries Tilar off.

Ramirez carries Tilar through Clearing.

Crystal Field <Interia I>

[EVA Suit II (26089): Ramirez (PhxAux): Phoeniz, this is Ramirez. I'm clear of the interference. Two to beam up, immediately.]

[EVA Suit II (26089): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): Phoenix to away team, we have Ramirez and Tilar aboard.]

[EVA Suit II (26089): Ramirez (PhxAux): Phoenix, this is Ramirez. Beam me back down, immediately, and get a medical team to Trasnporter Room One to assist Doctor Tilar.]

It seems unlikely that the little Denobulan is going to actually get a crystal sample, but she's giving it a good college try. She's also yelling at it while attempting to beat the snot out of it, and one of her mothers would no doubt wash her mouth out with soap to her the words coming out of her. She shifts a little, taking a few steps further into the crystal field.

[EVA Suit II (26089): Ramirez (PhxAux): No way can Castillo carry Nimah in that gravity. I can.]

Ramirez arrives from Clearing.

Castillo watches as Ramirez goes off with Tilar, turning to face Nimah, who continues to bash at the crystal with the chisel. She keeps her attention split on the ensign, watching as the other woman ventures further into the field, and her tricorder, which she begins to modify to cast out a pulse. Her approach is faltered by a stumble or two as she maneuvers over the rocks, slowly gaining on the Denobulan. "Ensign!" She yells, shaking the device in her hand. "Come here!"

[EVA Suit II (26089): Castillo (PhxAux): Beam up Ensign Nimah as soon as you have a pattern lock. You may have to target my tricorder.]

Cristobal moves at a loping, hard pace across the broken ground, moving rapidly despite the gravity. Damn, but the man is strong and fast. He is already heading towards Castillo and Nimah at the best he speed he can manage. Over his speakers, he calls out, "Both of you stop!"

[EVA Suit II (26089): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): Acknowledged. Standing by.]

"NO!" Nimah yells back to the Lieutenant, and at least she chooses the right language for the defiant and undeniably cranky refusal to a very reasonable order. Instead, she's still determined to funnel her rage out on the crystal, looking up and over just a minute, holding the dulled chisel up threateningly. She goes back to beating on the crystal, directly with the hammer this time. The fact that she's not making any progress doesn't seem to be improving her temperment any.

"Use this!" Castillo says, shaking the tricorder with her hand, then at the massive crystal Nimah is chipping away it. "It'll help!" Another gesture with the device is made at the crystal as she approaches. She doesn't appear to notice...or at least isn't acknowledging, Ramirez...at least not at first. "Or at least, hold it so I can try." With a shake of the hand, she offers the tricorder to Nimah, pulling her attention over her shoulder to look back at Ramirez...who receives a furrowed brow of exasperation.

Cristobal runs up to the pair, stopping to look at Castillo. He just shakes his head, and without comment, slides a much smaller Type-1 phaser from a hidden pouch on his EVA suit. "Lieutenant Castillo, there is no time to argue." He lifts the phaser, and checks to make sure it's on stun.

Ramirez draws Type-1 Phaser (52640).

"It just WONT BREAK!" Nimah sounds just so frustrated.. wholly out of proportion with not being able to gather up a crystal sample. "ARRGH." She rants and then reaches over to throw her dulled chisel aside with no thoughts whatsoever to not litering, or the fact that one really should not throw sharp (or sharp ish) objects when there's others around. She is unaware of the phaser being pointed in her direction, but she almost growls. "Fine. I'll hold it. You hit it."

Ramirez sets the power level on Type-1 Phaser (52640) (drawn).

[EVA Suit II (26089): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): Phoenix to away team, we're still unable to get a lock on any of the remaining members of the team.]

Castillo's expression hardens as Ramirez draws a second phaser from his person. She pushes forward with her hand, jamming the tricorder into Nimah with a shove, silently praying the Denobulan will instinctively grip it in the process. Rather than speaking, she uses her continued momentum to place herself between Nimah and Ramirez, hoping he wouldn't shoot through her just to hit the Denobulan.

Cristobal sighs, takes a step to the side, and simply moves to clear the line of fire. A moment later, he fires, without preamble.

Ramirez shoots Nimah with Type-1 Phaser (52640).

You hand Tricorder (51300) to Ensign Nimah.

Well a lot happens at once. The bet that shoving a tricorder into Nimah would make her grab it was a good one, and the young Denobulan grabs for the tricorder that is shoved into her suit. She moves along with that grabbing, and no matter that Castillo tried to get in the way, Ramirez also move a little and then she yelps first in surprise and then in much more focused angry at the fact that HE SHOT HER! Her suit takes the brunt of the phaser, stun or not, and well.. now she's even more pissed. "HEY!" She grabs the tricorder and starts stomping her way towards the Security Officer, probably to give him a piece of her mind that she really doesn't have a good grasp on, waving the piece of Castillo's tech in his direction as threatening as a pissed off little Denobulan can manage.

Castillo, in the process of shoving the tricorder at Nimah, stumbles against the large...slightly battered...crystal. She manages to stand upright after Nimah is shot...watching as she starts to storm towards Ramirez. Her hand waves at Ramirez, trying to signal him to stop what he is doing.

[EVA Suit II (26089): Castillo (PhxAux): Phoenix, my tricorder, lock onto it.]

Ramirez lowers the phaser as she stops chisling and hammering, a short nod coming from him as the immediate problem is solved. He holds the phaser to his side....but keeps backing up as the tiny Denobulan charges her way, shaking the tricorder. While he makes it look accidental, he lets her make forward progress towards him while he keeps stepping backwards, towards the soil field.

Essentially, he starts acting like bait as he moves backwards. Over the speakers, he says in a taunting tone, "What's that? I can't hear you? Come on, squeaky, show me what you mean!"

[EVA Suit II (26089): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): I have a lock on the tricorder.]

[EVA Suit II (26089): Castillo (PhxAux): It's Ensign Nimah, bring her up to the ship. Quickly.]

A shimmering swirl of colour engulfs Nimah.

Castillo rises fully from the large, marginally battered crystal. She watches as Nimah is pulled away to the ship, but doesn't muster a sigh of relief, looking with tinges of fear at Ramirez. "You're not going to shoot me too?" A pause. "Right?" Her voice calls out to the man, offhand holding his phaser from earlier.

Cristobal slides his phaser away. "No, Lieutenant Castillo, I am not. You're not trying to damage a probably sentient crystal formation that was /communicating with me./" It is clear that he is coldly furious. The weapon is safed, the pouch is closed. "I recommend we leave this place. Now."

The crystal songs turns into screams of anguish. Throbbing sound waves impact the away team, making further audible communication near impossible.

Castillo immediately mutes the microphones built into her suit, moving towards the clearing in the process. She keeps Ramirez in front of her, rather than letting him get behind her. Her hand keeps the phaser at the ready, following him towards the transporter site.

Cristobal Walks out silently.

Clearing <Interia I>

The screams of the crystal fields can still be heard in the clearing. The vibrations travelling through your suits, causing noticeable ear aches.

[EVA Suit II (26089): USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A (PhxAux): Phoenix to away team, we just sent out a series of graviton pulses to try and alter the frequency of the crystals. Please report.]

Castillo follows Ramirez up towards the clearing, standing near where they beamed in from. Using her free hand, she signals for the ship.

[EVA Suit II (26089): Castillo (PhxAux): Phoenix, two to transport. Please cease all graviton pulses.]

Ramirez brings his hands up to the sides of his helmet, trying to block out the sound. Of course, that does absolutely nothing at all, given the volume and nature of what's transpiring. Tears stream from his eyes; his face is a mask of pain.

Swirls of energy whip around your deconstructed body. Shimmering lumination dances about your form uncontrollably, dazzling every sense.

Transporter Room One <USS Phoenix NCC-170100-A>

A swirl of shimmering light appears then dissolves, leaving Ramirez in its place.

>Intercom< Captain Vess says, "Additional medical teams to transporter one."

Castillo removes her helmet as soon as she rematerializes, unceremoniously dropping it on the transport pad in the process. She stows the weapon on her person, turning to look at Ramirez directly.

Cristobal lifts the visor on his EVA suit, his face pale and white, a sweat broken out over his face. Blood trickles from his nose, which he dabs at. He turns, and holds his hand out to Castillo. "My phaser, if you please, Lieutenant?" His tone is icy, cold, and angry.

"I'm... okay?" Tilar sounds MOSTLY sure of this fact, her head turning to look at both Castillo and Ramirez as they reappear on the pad. Eyebrows lift slightly as she looks between the two of them. "What...?"

There's a step further away from the transporter pad as the other two reappear and Nimah has enough presence of mind to offer Castillo back her tricorder. "You'll want this back."

Castillo doesn't seem to process the request for the phaser. She points to Ramirez's face with an index finger, concern present in her gaze. "You're bleeding." Her comment made with a low tone of voice, no attention being made for her tricorder.

Cristobal snaps his fingers (as best he can in suit gloves; it looks ridiculous) and points to the phaser. "My. Phaser." He looks to Castillo's face. "Yes. Because of whatever that sound was doing. My ears are ringing, too." His jaw twitches.

"Lieutenant Castillo." Tilar's voice is stern enough now, the Trill woman stepping up onto the transporter pad. "The bleeding is my responsibility. The phaser is his. Please return it and report to sickbay." She looks around at the group. "All of you. Report to sickbay." Her attention shifts over to Ramirez and she nods slightly. "That will pass. That's from the ship. We sent some frequencies down to counteract the interference."

"Can I get out of the suit first?" Nimah asks, holding onto the tricorder for now and then ums softly. "Where's sickbay?" There's something about that much adrenaline, when it just goes away all at once, that crash is a hard one.

Castillo appears mortified by Ramirez's response. "What's th..." And then Tilar speaks, soliciting even more concern. "...rush." She visibly retracts, pulling her arm back from Ramirez. Her expression shows significant contemplation, before she chooses to hold out the phaser for Ramirez to take.

Ramirez looks to Nimah, and her suit. "Ensign Nimah. I regret the necessity of phasering you. That EVA suit is done; it needs to be replaced. Let them cut it off down in sickbay when they examine you."

As Castillo offers the phaser, he takes it calmly, and snaps it into place on his belt. "Luz?" He looks over. "What would have happened if they didn't pick up your tricorder?" He jaw sets. "Think hard on that." Then he shakes his head. "For your report. A voice entered my mind and begged me to stop Ensign Nimah from harming it. It was clearly sentient."

Tilar doesn't immediately look at Nimah, but she does offer an answer to her. "Sickbay is on Deck 7." Instead, the doctor is looking between Castillo and Ramirez, waiting to see what happens before she nods again. "Thank you." She doesn't seem particularly alarmed at the news that Nimah had been phasered, though a look is cast briefly in her direction before she returns her gaze to the pair still on the transporter pad. "For what it's worth, I was going to make the same call. Just with a hypospray instead of a phaser."

Tilar goes Out.

Ensign Nimah goes Out.

Castillo nods to Ramirez silently before reaching down to collect her helmet and proceed out the transporter room, towards the bridge.

Main Bridge

Ensign Nimah leaves for Saucer Aft Turbolift.

Alue is at her usual auxiliary console on the bridge, getting all of the ship systems back in order aftr the excitement.

Ramirez arrives from Deck 1 - Aft Corridor.

Castillo emerges from the rear section of the bridge, moving towards the turbolift with a shattered expression.

Your emotional state of "Dread" is broadcast to those around you.

Cristobal moves past in just a skintight bodysuit, nodding stiffly. He seems uninterested in conversation.

Ramirez leaves for Saucer Aft Turbolift.

Picking up on an awful sensation, Prina turns to see what's going on. "Luz? Are you alright?"

Castillo stalls for a moment at the turbolift, considering Alue's question for a second or two. She shakes her head back and forth, indicating the opposite. Her hand reaches out, depressing the turbolift's controls.

Alue looks between Luz and her console, clearly wanting to follow but unable to do so at the moment. She swallows and frowns, then just gives Luz a quick understanding nod. "I'll see you soon," she says.

Castillo offers a nod in acknowledgement. Stepping into the turbolift.
