The Vulcan has only made limited changes to the standard decor. A stone meditation slab and meditation nitche have been emplaced. The temperature and gravity of her quarters are also set to Vulcan norms, such that the air is warmer and drier, and the gravity heavier, than most are accustomed to.

The Vulcan rarely if ever has guests. She has stoed her duty gear and appears in civvies. She turns to the door.

Tink is wearing a pleasant smile that slips a little at her first step into T'Shaav's quarters. Her foot hits the floor harder than expected due to the slightly increased gravity and she almost stumbles. Adjusting quickly though, she recovers her smile and greets the off-duty Security Chief. "Hello, T'Shaav," she says brightly.

The Vulcan takes a half step towards you, but relaxes as you right yourself. "I should have warned you of my quarters' gravity settings. I almost never have guests," she says. "Would you like refreshment?" She heads for her replicator. "Sit wherever you like."

"Is there a sweet Vulcan tea?" Tink asks as she heads for a seat. "Hot or cold, doesn't matter."

T'Shaav thinks about that and taps a few commands into her replicator. She brings you a cup and saucer. "This is Tharis tea. I have told the replicator to infuse it with our equivalent of mint. I hope you find it agreeable."

Tink has a taste.. and blinks. "Not bad," she says. "Not quite the mint I'm used to, but I like it." She grins and settles into her chair. "So, what is it you want to talk about?" She takes another sip.

T'Shaav replicates another tea for herself and sits across from you. "You might have seen Commander Kadn's orders that we find a stealth means to follow the Nova Consortium patrols, etc.?" She says.

Tink blinks again. "I remember. But devising stealth methods for tailing starships is far from my area of expertise."

T'Shaav nods. "Granted," she says. "Here is the problem. The K'rel, and consequently, the design of the Klingon bird-of-prey, is known to Nova Station and hence, we must assume, to the Consortium at large. The Callisto is unusable for our purposes for the foreseeable future. The Selke is not suitable for our purposes, because it does not possess a cloak." She sips her tea. "As I pointed out to the executive officer, there is a vessel landed aboard that both has full stealth capabilities and is totally unknown in this region of space."

Tink remains silent while she considers, then says simply, "The Romulans."

T'Shaav nods. "Precisely. I proposed, in essence, what would amount to a joint mission between the Federation and the Star Empire, a mission using their vessel and a mixed crew. To my knowledge, this has never been done."

Tink thinks she knows the answer even before she asks, but she asks anyway. "Why did you want to talk to me about this? That decision isn't mine to make."

"As you say," the Vulcan says with a nod. "The commander suggested, and I fully agree, that before a final decision about such a mission can be made, we should approach their deligation about the possibility. As diplomatic officer, you are the ideal person to explore this possibility with them. Out of curiosity, have you met any of the Rihannsu deligation?"

Tink nods with the confirmation of what she already suspected, but it serves to answer T'Shaav's question as well. "One," she replies. "I recently had a conversation with Hwiama."

"Their commander," she says. "We have worked with her before on several prior, unrelated occasions. I suspect that is why she was selected by the empire to lead their deligation on this exploratory mission."

"So I've gathered," says the Counselor, then sips her tea. "So, I'm guessing you'd like me to start sounding her out, see how receptive she might be to your proposal."

She dips her head in a Vulcan gesture. "Correct," she says. "What were your impressions of the Khre'Arrain?"

Tink sighs as she thinks. "Unsettled, at the moment. Maybe angry with her situation, but dealing with it," she answers.

T'Shaav nods. "She has had little to do over the past 2 to 3 years. Most of the work has been scientific, which means her subordinates have had more useful work." A beat. "Given this unusual situation, I wanted to offer to support your efforts. Are there things you would like to know about concerning our visitors that would assist you?"

Tink blinks. "I... will have to think about that. I need some time to consider."

T'Shaav nods. "This will potentially be unbroken ground. During the Dominion war, the Federation and the Star Empire cooperated as allies together with the Klingon Empire, but I am not aware that any mixed crew missions ever took place between our people and the Rihannsu." A beat. "Federation Klingon missions did take place, though. So, this may be a first."

"And therefore a challenge," Tink replies with a nod.

"Or at least, an opportunity," the Vulcan says.

Tink nods. I'll see what I can do."

T'Shaav nods back. "Thank you. Your efforts will doubtless prove invaluable. Would you like more tea?"
