The Buran-class is a dreadnought cruiser, capable of unleashing a significant amount of fire power upon its target. The design is part of a new wave of Starfleet vessels.
History
Technical Data
This class of vessel is the first to include a prototype Phaser Spinal Lance, capable of unleashing ten times the fire power of a single heavy cannon in one shot. Due to the power requirements of the lance, only the largest of vessels were capable of supporting one, including the Lexington-class.
