Ready Room <USS Hadfield NCC-98006>
The Captain's ready room is not much more than a small office. A small desk occupies one corner of the compartment, behind it a very comfortable looking high-back chair. One other chair is available for guests on the opposite side of the table. Situated within the aft bulkhead wall is a food and beverage replicator. The opposite wall has a small bookcase at the upper portion, and bench like seat below it. A desktop console adorns the desk. Subdued yet simple lighting emanates from both overhead and along the floor. The walls are of a dark titanium-colour, with the carpet a dark burgundy. A light pewter-coloured highlight runs up the bulkhead braces and along the edges of the carpet.
Out the viewport: A sky filled with countless stars.

T'Shaav steps to the replicator and makes it to produce one of several teas she's known Temple to drink, Terran, of course. She brings it to him, sets it on a small table beside him, and sits across from him. She appears her usual self, perhaps a bit quieter or introspective. "When you are ready, we will proceed. I want you to know that however intrusive the experience is, Mr. Temple, I will not regard anything I see in your mind that does not bear on our current circumstances."

Temple nods and says "Understood ma'am, I trust you, I hope we are able to find the missing memories so we can shed some light on our mystery, I am ready"

T'Shaav steeples her fingers for a few moments, appearing to focus herself. Then, she extends one hand forward. Her fingers splay across Temple's face on the right side. Then, her other hand is placed on the left side of his face, her fingers seeking and finding the Human's katrah' points. Her eyes close as she starts to open the link. "My mind to your mind. Your thoughts, to my thoughts."

Temple breathes calmly and keeps his thoughts open as he feels T'shaav finger tips on his left side of his face

T'Shaav starts sinking into the layers of Temple's mind. Hers may feel cold, precise, and ordered, and compared to the human's, it is old. Almost a century and a half old. She slips past surface layers of random thoughts. She's reaching back, back to Temple's last memories aboard the Phoenix, where was he. And she starts to work slowly forward. She is assuming that the memories are there, but hidden.

Temple 's memories of the last 32 hours on board the phoenix vary from reading operations reports and monitoring the surface radiation readings of Kuvassia III, the memory of the first barage of phaser fire on the planet are seen. A few flashes of memories of Temple's time as captain aboard teh Charles Tucker are seen. Temple tries to keep his emotions in check as he observes some of the memories he see's from T'Shaav.

T'Shaav sends a bit of encouragement. She knows this is disconcerting for the human, and it's not that easy for her either. She accepts the memories, focusing in on the Phoenix. She sees the phaser barage, the report-reading, conversations in passing in the hallways. She begins to guide the human's mind forward, slowly, towards the time of the relocation, but not there yet.

Temple takes the encouragement and attempts to focus on the last few hours aboard the Phoenix, the memories of him finishing up in his office and leaving the office and heading into his quarters. The memory shows him settling down on a sofa with a glass of orange and a antique book in his hand, the book is entitled 'Richard III' by William Shakespear

T'Shaav shares some of her own memories in return. Her memories are very crisp, clear, detailed because of how her mind works. She sits in the captain's chair for a watch, the planet rotating on the viewscreen. She, drawing up a duty roster, deciding who needs bridge duty and who can wait. She practices with her lirpa on the holodeck. Not so spry as she used to be. Inevitable, that. But still very capable. She's back in her office, reviewing ship's status reports on two screens.

Temple shares the memory of him still in teh quarters putting the book down and walking over to a desk top computer and bringing up a letter from home, the letter goes into details about his father's retirement from Starfleet and he was invited to the retirement party, you get the sense Temple is putting off deciding on whether to attend, to the left of the desk top is a chrono meter and Temple gives off a sense of puzzlement and he thinks "Hang on this isn't right"

Some of T'Shaav's more recent memories leak through in the sharing, as it is mind to mind. A phaser beam strikes her square on on a planet somewhere. She watches a prisoner dematerializing and hears from the bridge that he was beamed into space. She is furious that this happened, to be outthought by her targets and to have a prisoner killed on her watch. She would snap the neck of the purpetrator, if she were not a logical, rational being, these being the emotions no one sees. Methodically, she reshelves the memories, moving forward to her own last few minutes aboard the Phoenix. She was in her office.

Temple 's last memory continues to play out as he turns the desk top computer off and walks over to the sofa and sits back down, he opens the book and he looks at the bookmark and he gives off the sense of more puzzlement and says "Why do I get the feeling I should have been further ahead in the book" he flips over a few pages. He looks over towards the bed and considers it for a time.

There is a muted surprise from the Vulcan as something starts to become clear. She communicates, 'There are two, perhaps three weeks unaccounted for in our memories.' She also can't reconcile certain elements in her memories. When did she go aboard Haddfield, anyway, and why? She refrains from guessing about it and starts towards the part of Temple's mind where repressed memories may be found.

Temple last memory aboard the Phoenix continues to play out, the scene of Temple's quarters suddenly changes to the conference room, Temple is sitting across the table from T'Shaav and Shulon is standing beside a display showing a blurred starmap but you can make out a marker tagged with Hadfield displayed on. It looks like a mission briefing, unfortunately the details are not clear.

'The captain sent us,' the Vulcan thinks. She doesn't remember the briefing, but it rules out mass abduction, at least from the Phoenix. There is a logical inference that snaps into place in her mind. 'He sent us to this star system. Rather than bring the Phoenix herself.' Why? She doesn't know. But ... tracking. She is walking resolutely towards the deck 20 docking port to take command and track ... what, where, why? She cannot see it.

Temple 's memory shifts to him in the captains chair on board the Hadfield, the Hadfield is moving around in a search pattern as if tracking something, whatever the crew has been tracking has led them astray several times.

T'Shaav examines the memory she sees. Temple has bridge watch. Anewan, Ki'vek, and WOrthington are aboard. Shulon has sent most of his senior staff. It is obviously very important.

One of Temple's memories flashes to the surface. He is on the bridge, a brigt light fills the viewscreen. Then an audible and tangible "NO!" coarses through him, the memory of it breaks the mindmeld.

Temple jerks back and he gasps for air for a few moments and attempts to compose himself

T'Shaav's hands spring open as she slumps backwards in her chair. She takes a minute to gather herself and then regards the human officer. "Mr. Temple. It is alright now," she says quietly. "You are unharmed."

Temple nods and breathes calmly and says "We've lost up to three weeks of memories, and during that gap we were sent on a mission to track something by Captain Shulon"

T'Shaav nods. "And this star system we have been approaching likely plays a role. Finally, someone most definitely did not want us continuing our mission and had the means to thwart us."

Temple ponders and says "Well whoever it was has stopped us in our tracks again since Lieutenant Choma has stopped us again"

T'Shaav stands. "We have work to try and do before we move again. We need to know what it is Captain Shulan wanted us to track. I want you to work with engineering to try and recover relevant sensor and navigational logs. I think we saw it at some point. I want to know what our sensors recorded, and where. Work with Ki'vek and Hauser and see what you can find. I also want you to rest this shift. That meld was taxing for you, Commander. But we have discovered some very useful information."

Temple nods and says "Aye ma'am"

T'Shaav says, "dismissed."

Temple finishes his cup of tea and heads out.
