Starfleet Security Office Lobby <Spacedock>
This smallish lobby works as a greeting area for those visiting the Starfleet Security Chief's Office. There are two sofas and two chairs for waiting dignitaries to wait in relative comfort. A simple reception desk sits between two office doors and in front of a hallway that leads to additional offices.

The receptionist is behind a standing desk, "Yes, how can I help you?" He asks in a dullard tone.

Worthington enters and nods. "I am lieutenant commander James Worthington, chief of security, USS Phoenix, NCC-170100-A. I am here on behalf of captain Shulon. I need to pull some records, 4 service jackets, for crewmen Rosanna Jenkins, Paul Johnson, Sarah Smith, and Michael Brown."

The receptionist brushes his nose with the back of his hand, following it up with a sniff. "Service jackets." He types in something at the console. "What were the names again?" He notes them down this time as you repeat them. "Authorization?"

Worthington repeats the names slowly and carefully. "Authorization Worthington, Pi Alpha Epsilon 4274," he says.

The receptionist punches in the codes, "You said you had authorization from your Captain as well? I'll need that."

Worthington nods. He pulls out a padd with the letter and pulls the letter up to display. He slides it across the desk. "Right here," he says.

The receptionist looks over the document, checking the authentication codes. "Very well. Have a seat, this will take a few minutes."

Worthington nods. "Thank you," he says, moving to take a seat.

<some time later>

The receptionist calls you back up the their desk, "Here you are", he hands you a padd with two service jackets on it. Jenkins and Johnson.

Worthington nods as he returns to the desk. "Thank you," he says, then checks the padd. "What about Smith and Brown?" he asks.

The receptionist shakes his head, "Based on the information you provided, no such individuals exist in Starfleet. Never have." he holds up a hand, "And before you ask, yes I double checked, and no, there is no way they were deleted. You must have incorrect details."

Worthington looks perplexed. "No records whatsoever, and you are 100% that there's no way they could have been erased?" he asks. "This presents me with a bit of a conundrum."

"It's just not possible", the receptionist says, "You can't delete these files. They are a permanent record. The system isn't capable of deletion." He asks, "Any other jackets you were wanting to look up?"

Worthington shakes his head. "No," he says. "Thank you for your time. I need to consult with others on this matter. If I need anything else from Starfleet security while in Sol system, I will return."

The receptionist nods. "Have a nice day."
