Bridge <USS Callisto NX-99901>
Situated at the top of the vessel, just forward of the midpoint is the main bridge. Unlike most capital-ship designs the bridge has no wasted space as space is at a premium on this smaller craft. In the center of the bridge is the Captain's chair, positioned on a swiveled base so he or she can easily turn to face the ring of stations circling the center. From port to starboard the consoles are, Auxiliary, Tactical, Operations, Helm, Engineering, and Science. This places the helm and operations stations at the fore of the bridge, just below the curving viewscreen that fills the forward bulkhead.
The ambience is subdued with simple lighting eminating both from overhead panelling and from the consoles themselves. The walls and carpet are of a mid-range grey, with a dark copper highlight running up the bulkhead braces and along the edges of the carpet.

Berton asks, "Have we heard when we might be leaving? On the away mission."

"We must go soon," qetlhaH says. "Or we will have even more problems than we began with."She glances at Chandler. "I recommend we go as soon as possible. That would be now."

Chandler raises her brow at qetlhah and looks back to David. "You heard T'Shaav.....this was her command and all that fun stuff...." That's when she stands up, setting her PADD down and moving to the locker. "...she said type-1's?"

Berton nods, "I believe she did, and plain clothes. I am not clear on the logic on that, but it was what she said nonetheless."

qetlhaH sighs. "I worked for this uniform," she grunts as she heads for the locker. "I thought I would be spending some time in it." She shakes her head.

Chandler chuckles a bit as she cuts her eyes over to kettle. "You can always stay up here and stay in it...." Shrugging she grins then nods. "Meet me in the transporter room and we'll get down there...." A beat. "At least I can follow most of her orders...."

qetlhaH laughs, tossing her head back. "I wouldn't stay up here for anything," she declares. Why else come out here but to explore?"

Transporter Room <USS Callisto NX-99901>
The first feature of this room that catches one's eye upon entering is a circular dais located to the left of the entrance. The transporter platform is marked with placeholders for six people, and the ceiling above is fitted with a variety of equipment to aid and assist the transport process, as is the platform itself. Opposite the transporter platform on the other side of the room is the transporter control console, which bestows the system operator with a variety of tools to fine tune the process. The stand up console is positioned against the bulkhead, affording the operator only enough room to operate the console.

Berton reports, "Ready to energize, Sybil."

Sybil makes her way back, passing Temple a type-1 and power cell. "Here you go. When you're settled, we can go."

qetlhaH settles her own phaser, checkig its charge and setting before she does, though the beam weapon feels uncomfortable in her hands. She nods at last. "Ready."

Berton says, "I've selected a location in the city that appears to have less inhabitants. But, people are around, we won't have long before we are spotted."

Sybil nods to Berton. "Alright. Sounds good. Let's do this...."

[Transporter Console: Energizing...]

Greenway <Gaphistea II>
Lush and cultivated vegetation grows in this area especially for the enjoyment of those walking the greenway. Signs at either end of the meandering path identify this district as not open to vehicular traffic. Exotic flowers and ornamental shrubs coexist here in ways nature would never produce. Walkers access the homes and businesses along the greenway by crushed stone footpaths leading off the pathway itself.

Temple looks around the place having materised

Sybil looks around as she appears, pursing her lips a bit.

Looking out of place in this pretty city, qetlhaH arrives with hands on hips, one close to her phaser. She takes a few steps forward on the stone path, peering from side to side as if expecting ambush to jump out from behind a shrubbery. "Calm, for a city about to fall out of the sky."

Berton discretely scans the area with his tricorder. "No one in the immediate vicinity, but there are Qee in every adjoining area from here."

Berton asks, "How do you want to proceed, Sybil?"

qetlhaH uses Tricorder (4152) to scan Greenway.

Sybil nods as she looks around and nods. "Let's just stick to the shadows and hey....if we're noticed...let's not shoot first, hm?" She motions for them to follow with her slowly. "Let's check out the first building....." She points the first one....fagito.

Temple nods and follows

qetlhaH falls in line behind Chandler, dropping her hand to her side from her own tricorder scan. "If you insist," she says with a little sidelong smirk on her face.

"'Fagito <Gaphistea II>
The establishment is painted in soft greens and oranges in a color scheme that obviously appeals to the natives, if to no one else. It's divided into two rooms, one public and one private space available if you have the right connections. The chairs sit about a meter tall at the seat, and the tables are over half a meter higher, obviously designed for very tall beings. A flute-like instrument plays softly over hidden speakers, and the lighting is soft and indirect. On one side of the room, windows give a view onto the greenway, while the city is visible out the opposite windows.

The Qee here are dressed to the nines, at least for their culture. Elaborate dresses, clearly tailored apparel. There is no delay between when the away team enters the fagito and they are noticed. They stick out like a sore thumb. One Qee screams, which alerts the others. One is so frigtened by this unexpected incursion they jump right out the window. Luckily no glass was there, but they can be seen running down the street. That leaves six Qee still present in this location. If colour is any indication, an even mix of females and males.

Berton says quietly, "I think we've been spotted."

As the running and screaming starts, qetlhaH looks at the patrons, at the empty window, and drops her hand away from her phaser. "I see we won't be fighting," she mutters, rather disconsolate, it must be said. "I expected more from such a fierce military." She steps forward to flank Chandler, just in case somebody tries to do something and she misses out on the fun.

T'Shaav slips in while everyone is leaping out the window. "What do we know so far?" She asks Chandler.

Sybil sighs as she just shakes her head. Looking up she speaks. "Calm down.....we're here to help." She keeps her hands visible. Glancing to T'Shaav she just motions. "....well someone just jumped out of a window....that's all we got."

One of the Qee, she is a vibrant purple colour steps forward to address these intruders. "How dare you intrude on us. We've done nothing to you, and yet you come here armed, scaring off my friend!"

Sybil blinks as she looks at the others then back around. "Armed? Look we're here to help....." A brow would raise then. "That's all....we're sorry if we scared you guys."

"Your city is falling out of the sky," qetlhaH adds. "We came to help you fix that." AGainst our better judgement, she doesn't add. "Although if you would like us to also help you out of the windows ..."

"This," T'Shaav says, showing her remote device briefly, "is not a weapon, I assure you."

Although her height is formidable compared to the humans, the speaking Qee female shows minute signs of being afraid, albeit giving off a very convincing outward appearance of fearlessness. "Falling out of the sky? Don't be absurd. That is impossible. Your presence here is unwanted and unwarranted." her discomfort in your presence slowly moving from one of fear to disdain.

Berton says to T'Shaav, "Sir, they're expending a lot of power in here." he points at a piece of kitchen equipment, "It's not in use, but still using power. The lights too, highly inefficient."

Looking to T'Shaav Sybil then looks back to the female Qee. "Yeah well you energy readings are all over the place." Looking to her she then grins as she can't believe she's about to say this. "Then....take us to your leader? A leader? Leaders? Someone that might know what we're talking about?"

qetlhaH glowers, but has turned her attention away from the fizzling confrontation to take in the food, the machinery, and the other patrons, gathering every bit of mental data she can while they're actually in the city. Probes are good, but nothing comparedto physical presence.

The Qee woman wants nothing more to do with you and makes a hand gesture in the away teams general direction that might translate to a posh way of saying, 'you are beneath my contempt, leave'. She turns her back on all of you.

"In that case," T'Shaav says, "we will see about finding someone who will listen."

Sybil rolls her eyes and then motions for T'Shaav to lead the way.

Berton points out, "We detected other Qee in the close proximity as well, sir."

T'Shaav says, "Not surprising, Lieutenant Berton. Let us go."

Berton comments, "Is it just me, or do they not care?"

"It is hard to say, based on one example," T'Shaav notes.

Two bluish Qee run down the greenway towards the away team, they are followed by a third who is trailing behind. The approaching Qee are also dressed to the nines, but they have insignia on their lapels.

"The comms chatter suggests they have almost forgotten about it," qetlhaH adds. As the Qee approach she raises a hand again, resting it near where her concealed phaser is ... well, concealed. "Look. Oficials." She grins.

The first two have insignia, the third looks like he recently took a tumble, maybe out a window? "See, intruders, do something." the third individual glares at the away team then returns to the fagito.

Presented with an opportunity, maybe, to talk with someone in authority, T'Shaav faces the two oncoming officials and waits.

Sybil just....waits for now as she watches the little chicken....shizznit run off as the others approach.

"You're not welcome here, leave now." one of the official says.

"We have come to stop your city falling out of the sky," qetlhaH rumbles at the official. "Would you rather die when it does?"

"This city," T'Shaav says, "is a remarkable technological achievement. But it is having difficulties. We can help."

One of the officials asks, "How do you know of our power issues?" he lowers his voice, "No one in the city is aware of the details." he gives qetlhaH a concerning look. "We must retain power to keep the citizens in perfect comfort, there just isn't enough available for the antigravity system. There are priorities." If his tone is any indication he doesn't fully believe the city will fall out of the sky, even he is not of the working class, and even this conversation with you is uncomfortable for him, mixing in with aliens.

Sybil purses her lips then lowers her voice as she steps just slightly closer. "Look....we read some fluctuations. Just....we're here to help. If you know someone can listen...that'd help. However....if you continue to waste power....you guys may not be up here much longer...."

"Do you value your comfort over your lives?" qetlhaH adds to back this up.

"Keeping the citizens in comfort is the primary purpose of everything, there is no waste there." The official says. He doesn't, or can't comprehend what you are saying. His society is all about keeping people in comfort, giving them whatever they want, need, or could ever want, there are no secondary concerns. "yes, yes the fluctuations, caused much upset with the tremors. My office received many complaints. Priority right now is seeing to everyone personally."

"Indeed," the Vulcan says. "Then in about ten local days, you will fail to see to the comfort of everyone in this city all at once when it experiences catestrophic power failure and crashes to the surface. Does that appeal to you?"qetlhaH just waits. She's said all she has to say. Instead she turns aside to examine the plants. May as well; in a few days they might not even be here."That won't happen." the official says, "We were told that couldn't happen, everyone is safe."

Sybil sighs as she then shakes her head. "Then you will all find out the hard way when everyone is falling from this sky....."

Berton asks, "What of the people on the surface when this city falls. They too will be killed."

qetlhaH, who has stepped off to the side of the path, turns to look over her shoulder. "Who has told you?" she asks the official. "We should speak to them instead."

"There are no citizens on the surface, all are here." The official looks confused. He tells the second official to look into the matter, maybe some citizens went for a stroll. When his counterpart returns and explains who is there, "Those are not Qee, how did they get there?" The official addresses qetlhaH, "The envoy, they had to leave. Some emergency..." he is about to say something else but stops himself.

"The Envoy?" T'Shaav presses.

The ground trembles for a few moments, not severely, maybe not even enough to spill a glass of water. The Qee woman in the Fagito storms out the door, "You, explain this." she points a finger at the official. "Twice in one day I have been disturbed, first by these infidels, then this shaking. I will not have it. Fix it. Now!"

qetlhaH grumbles, approaching the woman and putting a hand on her shoulder, preparing to shove her back into her restaurant. "Go away," she says. "We are talking." She glances back at the official and adds with a sudden smile, "Please." She hopes, it seems, that Chandler and T'Shaav will keep at him about the envoy.

"Who is this envoy?" T'Shaav reiterates.

Sybil almost bursts into laughing. "Infidels?" Snorting she looks over to T'Shaave then back to the two officials. "Look...where did they go? We want to help....so....unless you want your people to continue to be upset....."

The official trembles at the bellowing of this woman citizen, "Yes, of course, I'll see to it at once. You won't be disturbed again, you have my assurances." he almost screams allowed when qetlhaH touches the woman. This behaviour is totally unexpected to the official, "you, you", he stutters, "You touched her, you can't do that." The woman is flabbergasted and gives qetlhaH the dirtiest of looks. Physically she doesn't protest however and is gone again within the Fagito. After a long moment the official regains his composure, "The envoy, they are from the military, they look after things. That is there function, to keep things working so the citizens have everything they need."

qetlhaH looks between the tall, but to a Klingon fairly unassuming, female citizen's doorway, and the official, her expression giving way to thorough bafflement. She tries Chandler's line again. "We can help you keep them ..." she really tries not to sneer. "Comfortable." She glances btween T'Shaav and Chandler, perhaps hoping someone will take the diplomatic buck back from her again. Science, good. Diplomacy, not so much.

"Have you told your military about the power problems here?" T'Shaav asks.

Berton says quietly to T'Shaav, "Sir, if this city does fall, we don't have the room to save those on the surface."

A third Qee official runs up to catch up to the current pair, he relays some information to the leading official. "Do they think they can? If we have no other alternative." he nods sending the newcomer away again with an affirmative. The lead official looks at T'Shaav and Chandler, "I can't say." This time he is hiding something.

Sybil sighs a bit as she looks to the two officials. "Look....we can just leave if you wish. I mean honestly? We're trying to help but like....if you won't help us how can we help you?"

T'Shaav gestures minutely to Berton to step to the side with her as she nods an acknowledgement. "What do you make of this city? Something akin to Risa? or a normal representation of their society?" She asks quietly while Chandler tries to win over the officials.

qetlhaH follows the third official with her eyes as he leaves, a frown gathering across her brow. But she waits for Chandler's attempt to woo the official. Hers clearly hasn't done any good, but then, she didn't expect it too.

The second official, the one who has been quiet up to this point, literally looks a little green at the gills, just under the ears his skin is turning an odd greenish colour. His hand goes to his neck, he can obviously tell there is a change, "Sir, this female is emitting qelk, look.". The lead official looks at his underling and notes the green, "This is no time for that!?"

[Tactical Console: Nevabi@Tactical Console@Bridge: Away team, detecting some odd readings from the city.]

"There is no time for /this/!" qetlhaH gestures around - at the path, the dawdling officials, this little halt in the middle of a crisis. "Your citizens are in danger. What have you done to help them?" She looks again down the pathway towards where the third official went.

[Tactical Console: T'Shaav@Remote Uplink Device (5164)@T'Shaav: Acknowledged. Keep us advised.]

Berton is unsure, if his tone is any indication, but replies to T'Shaav, "It goes beyond Risa I think sir. This society seems to be all about keeping the people happy at any expense. They didn't even acknowledge they knew about the Abaward on the planet, maybe they don't know where everything comes from? The conditions outside their world?"

[Tactical Console: Nevabi@Tactical Console@Bridge: Sir, the signal is akin to the Qee jump drive powering up.]

T'Shaav takes in Berton's information with a nod and returns to the group. Cutting through the side issues of Chandler's ... pheromones? She says, "We are starting to receive abnormal power readings from the city. Do you wish our assistance, or not?"

Sybil blinks as she looks the greening man, smirking slightly before she clears her throat. "And no...there's not time for...whatever you're talking about." She motions to T'Shaav then. "Either we help or we leave and you'll not see us again."

The official says, "We are taking steps." His demeanor is a little off from before, possibly distracted by something, who knows what.

"Then you do not wish our assistance?" T'Shaav presses.

[Tactical Console: Nevabi@Tactical Console@Bridge: Away team, get out of there. The city is going to jump!]

qetlhaH frowns. Something in the official's demeanour is putting her back up. She steps closer to her colleagues, watching him closely.

Sybil blinks and then backs up. "Guys!!" She looks to her remote device then gasps. "Time go!" She then reaches into her top and taps.

Chandler taps her commbadge and says, "Callisto, four to beam up"

[Chandler's Commbadge] Energizing...

T'Shaav says, "What do we have? I may not have seen the latest on my remote."

qetlhaH hurries in, looking cross. "What is going on!" she barks, apparently the split second between T'Shaav asking and her asking was too long for her.

Nevabi reiterates her last communique, "The power signature from the city, its going to jump. Look." she points at the viewscreen.

Sybil makes her way in, pursing her lips. "....geez." Dropping into her seat she purses her lips. "....didn't have time to just have a whole conversation..." She then looks to the screen. "....what is it doing?"

T'Shaav turns to qetlhaH, eyebrow raised. "Readings?"

Berton says, "Detecting power fluctuations, they may not have enough to complete the jump?"

"A city equipped with jump technology?" The Vulcan verifies.

Nevabi says, "Confirmed, but readings indicate they are going to try again. This can't end well."

qetlhaH runs a rapid series of scans through her console, her eyes flicking between that and the viewscreen. "Nothing I've ever seen before. Can we boost their power?"

Berton says, "recommend we advise them against this procedure, captain."

T'Shaav says, "Send the message, Lieutenant. For all that they will not listen."

Sybil purses her lips she then looks over. "What about the people in the village?"

"They are not listening," qetlhaH growls. "They're preparing to jjump again." She taps rapidly at the console again.

Sybil blinks then looks over to T'Shaav. "Sir...the Abaward...." A beat. "What if that city falls....? It's not going to go well at all...."

T'Shaav says, "Recommendations?"

[Auxiliary Console: The Qee city appears to vibrate uncontrollably before the entire city, no, the outer sections are not sucked inwards, then in a flash of light the bulk of the city disappears, leaving the outer edges to begin to fall to the surface.]

Berton says, "I don't think we can transport all of them, but we could try to move some of the Abaward away from the impact site?"

"How many can we take?" qetlhaH asks. "We should get as many as possible before those chunks come down. Or we can try to shoot them out of the sky. Breaking them up will reduce the casualties."

T'Shaav says, "Do it, Mr. Berton."

Sybil purses her lips, as there's enough ideas around.

T'Shaav says, "Or shooting them down could spread the lethal impacts over a wider area, Lieutenant. Unless we can vaporize them."

Berton nods to T'Shaav, "Sir, do as Lieutenant qetlhaH suggests as well, start with the closer pieces. No one will survive that fall." He begins instructing the transporter room to beam the Abaward as far as possible, noting an island several hundred kilometers away.

T'Shaav says, "Decloak and power weapons systems. FIre when you have targets."

[Auxiliary Console: Primary Weapon Control System set to 1000.0 GW]

[Auxiliary Console: USS Callisto NX-99901 decloaks and starts firing at falling pieces of former qee city.]

qetlhaH watches the viewscreen with a keen eye, keeping an eye on Qee fragments as they fall.

Berton enters an alert code on the nearest computer interface panel.

A computer generated voice says, "Yellow Alert! All stations set condition yellow!"

T'Shaav says, "Keep a watch for Qee military assets."

Berton focuses on the transports and doesn't offer any more suggestions, except, "Sir, we should advise the Phoenix of the situation, when we can."

T'Shaav says, "I am, as the saying goes, ahead of you there. Status of our efforts?"

"Transport as many as you can," qetlhaH barks. "There are only moments left before the rest of that debris hits."

Berton is fast at it. "Doing my best."

T'Shaav continues overseeing the tactical efforts while the transports keep going.

"The debris is down," qetlhaH reports. "Almost all of it on top of the village. Some in outlying areas around." She glances at Berton. "How many did we get out?"

Berton throws his hands up as the last transport goes through, "We lost eight percent..."

The Vulcan nods to Berton. "You did well, Mr. Berton. Stand down from alert status. Tactical, reengage cloak. Engineering, resume cloaked standby status. Before we hail the Phoenix, what is the situation down there?"

Berton enters an alert code on the nearest computer interface panel.

"No Qee lifesigns," qetlhaH reports, to nobody's surprise. "232 Abaward lifesigns."

T'Shaav says, "And, I presume that we have no notion where the Qee city, or what was left of it, would have ended up?" She asks the bridge at large."

"Unlikely," qetlhaH says. "But we can try." She eyes the console, scrolling through data as quickly as she can manage, looking for any info.

T'Shaav says, "Meanwhile, get me the Phoenix, Mr. Berton. On screen if they will answer."

Berton says, "it was extremely foolish of them to try." he nods.

[Auxiliary Console: Sending request for communication to USS Phoenix NX-170100.]

Berton says, "No answer sir."

T'Shaav nods. "We must compose reports as soon as possible. When we have conferred with the Phoenix--as I have no doubt they will want to talk--we will proceed with the other portion of the mission."

"We should do it soon," qetlhaH says. "If they can think about their situation, they will be concerned about their new position."

"Though hopefully grateful not to be in their former position," T'Shaav says in the driest of dry tones. "If there is nothing else, I am going to review data and begin my report. Lieutenant Chandler, the bridge is yours."

Sybil blinks a few times then raises her brow. Nodding she just settles in her seat. "Yes sir."

Berton says, "Well at least now you don't have to worry about those in the city detecting you in the Abaward village, Sybil." he tries to smile, but they weren't 100% successful.

qetlhaH lets out a little grin as she rises. "I want to analyse the data I have from the city," she says. "I will be prepared for the away mission when we organise it." She nods to Chandler and Berton, and departs.
