Main Bridge <USS Phoenix NX-170100>
The two-tiered main bridge sits at the apex of the Phoenix's saucer section. The foreward bulkhead is dominated by a viewscreen that can be used to display visual communication signals, sensor data, and other useful information. Immediately starboard of the main viewscreen is an alcove where the ship's engineering functions can be monitored and controlled from the bridge. The starboard bulkhead is dominated by a series of auxiliary consoles that can be configured for a variety of purposes. A master situation monitor is recessed on the aft bulkhead, and a long console stands in front of that where the ship's tactical officer may perform his or her duties. A sliding pneumatic door port of the master situation monitor allows access to the commanding officer's ready room and a door starboard of the master situation monitor allows access to the ship's observation lounge. Like the starboard bulkhead, the port bulkhead is dominated by several auxiliary consoles. An alcove to the portside of the main viewer provides access to the ship's various science systems.
The commanding officer's chair sits on a platform level with the bridge's upper tier, and it juts out into the lower tier, flanked on either side by auxiliary chairs for the ship's executive officer and a distinguished guest. A curved, two person console sits at the fore of the lower tier, the port side designated for the bridge's operations officer and the starboard side designated for the ship's navigator, the stations separated by a one-foot wide support at the center of the console.
A security railing encompasses the lower tier with breaks for the command chair and stairs on both the port and starboard sides to allow access to the lower tier's consoles.

As the bridge crew rotation settles into place Kadn asks Chandler, "Lieutenant, do you have the coordinates for the fifth section of your scanning plan handy? I want to see if we can put the new sensor modifications to work aboard the Phoenix."

Chandler pulls up her PADD as she sits down, nodding. "Yes sir." She looks to her console then. "Can send them to the consoles now."

Coil is settling into the science station, pulling up sensor readings and all that jazz.

Settling in at the auxiliary station, qetlhaH pulls up data on her own console, then leans back, waiting.

T'Shaav impassively mans the tactical station.

Kadn nods to CHandler, "Set course if you would. We'll dispatch the aux craft when we arrive." He looks over at engineering, no one there...

[XO's Chair: Kadn@XO's Chair@Main Bridge: Engineering, rig us for cruise.]

Chandler nods. "On it sir...."

[XO's Chair: Now heading 180.0 mark -0.0]

Chandler adds in. "Ready to go! Getting to cruising speed now, sir."

Kadn nods, "Engage at cruise when you're ready." He sits back in the chair and glances over at the captain's seat for a moment, then also at the counselors as well. "So far the scouting vessels haven't seen anything..." he looks over to Coil. "What are the odds there are some eddies in this nebula that could be moving the ship around?"

The vessel vibrates slightly as it accelerates to warp speeds.

qetlhaH glances at her chief as well, clearly interested to see him at work. Half an eye remains on the screens as the ship cruises.

Coil shrugs in response to the question, "Depends on the mass distribution. There's not enough gas to have a noticeable influence on a ship the size of the Antietam. Yet a cluster of asteroids could tug it one way or another."

[XO's Chair: Kadn@XO's Chair@Main Bridge: Operations, make sure all the aux craft are ready to depart. Fifth leg of the search to begin shortly.]

"If there were asteroids in this field we would have noted them as we passed," qetlhaH hypothesises. "If they were close enough to pull the Antietam off course."

Chandler looks up from her console. "Less than two minutes to our destination."

Kadn asks, "I would hope there would be a report on it, but to be certain, has anyone heard anything from the Klingons on any of their watches?" He nods his head side to side to qetlhaH considering her point.

Coil shakes his head, "Gravity applying a little bit of force over months or years will have a noticeable effect. Whereas over a short period of time, there's isn't much influence that would be noticeable."

T'Shaav says, "Negative, Commander. The Klingons seem to be focusing on other concerns."

"We may not hear anything again," qetlhaH says. "They were not pleased on our last meeting. They may steer clear of us from now on and consider us worthless as allies."

Chandler says, "We're almost to the spot."

Kadn hmms and nods, "The Callisto is no match for a Qee vessel. If I recall one of the reports we learned that the hard way." A glance over to T'Shaav. "I have some suspicions though, and it may just be time the Phoenix stops... hiding."

The vessel drops out of warp.

Kadn nods to Chandler, "All stop when we get there, and we'll let the aux craft out. They should already, but double check the various captains have their assigned search grids."

T'Shaav looks to Kadn, arching an eyebrow. "Indeed?"

Kadn nods over to ops, "Open the doors. Both bays"

[XO's Chair: The Main Shuttlebay doors begin to open.]

Ops reports in, "One bay was already open, sir. other one's open now. You want the docking port open too?"

Chandler continues as she taps on her console, quietly working for now.

Kadn nods, "Yes, we'll add the Callisto to the mix as well." he glances over at Chandler to make sure that was planned for.

[XO's Chair: The Corvette Docking Port outer doors begin to open.]

Chandler nods to Kadn as she feels that glance, waving. "Send them out. I have someone assigned to her as well."

"Doors open," ops reports.

Kadn poses a question to both T'Shaav and Chandler, "In your missions aboard the Callisto and K'rel, how many Qee ships did you encounter?" he nods to Chandler then looks over to Ops. "Send them on their way. Once all are clear, close us up again. I think we start in grid bravo six?" Another glance at Chandler.

Chandler looks up then purses her lips. "What....one? Two max?"

"If by 'encounter,' you mean at least a siting, All of our encounters," T'Shaav reports, "involved a single ship at a time. I will examine our reports if you want a precise figure."

Coil speaks up, "I think the most we detected at a time was 3 or 4, but only one was an actual threat at a time.

Kadn raises a hand, "Forgot about the sensors, hold up before moving out helm." A glance to T'Shaav then he looks over at Coil. "But how many encounters though?" he hmms, "Three ships though is formidable. Even with the armor, the Phoenix might take considerable damage if we were to take them on..."

[XO's Chair: Kadn@XO's Chair@Main Bridge: Engineering, power up the multiphasic sensor modifications]

[XO's Chair: Primary SRS set to 160.52 GW]

[XO's Chair: Multiphasic sensor mode enabled.]

T'Shaav says, "Are you thinking, sir, that the Qee are sparcely distributed throughout this region?"

"We never saw a concentration of ships," qetlhaH notes. "Even at their shipyard, before it was destroyed."

"Realistically, since they don't need to travel through the intervening space," Kellen observes, "they could have a large fleet, only they haven't been deployed where we've observed them. The most ships were near the system where their trap dropped ships."

Kadn half shrugs, "I'm thinking the Klingons reported taking out a Qee ship. You reported seeing them take out another. We took out one when we rescued the... resistance group. And you also disable their ship building facility..." He nods to Coil, "Quite possibly. They could have hundreds of ships places we haven't seen yet." He shrugs. After a moment, "Helm, once your course is set, engage at warp 7... any faster and we may blow past a sighting."

Chandler nods to Kadn as she gets moving. "On it." She then continues.

"So....think maybe they don't have as many ships as we think then?"

T'Shaav says, "The shipyard facility was very underprotected, at least by the standards of Federation, Klingon, or Romulan tactical doctrine."

The vessel vibrates slightly as it accelerates to warp speeds.

Kadn nods, "I remember something Tink said on our first encounter with the Qee at B'gel. She mentioned they were very boastful and arrogant, to the point where she thought it might have been an exaggeration. They were trying to come across as really strong and resilient, when in fact maybe they are quite vulnerable if really pressed." he shrugs again, "Think about how they reacted to a colony that stopped delivering supplies. They didn't send in lots of troops to whip it back in shape, a single ship took it out. They don't, as far as we've seen I don't think, have an actual presence on any of the colonies. So they don't need a lot of soldiers... anyways, just some thoughts I've had after rereading some of the reports."

Kadn adds, "Full sensor sweeps please, we're entering unscanned territory."

"They don't seem to need soldiers," qetlhaH says. "The populus is too brainwashed or afraid to put up much resistance. The ships themselves are strong, but they only had one protecting their eggs. So perhaps you are right."

T'Shaav monitors her own set of sensors and considers Kadn's point. "A theory which fits the observable facts," she allows. "High technology can compensate for a lack of personnel up to a point. but only up to a point."

Coil shakes his head, "Brainwashing is a mild term compared to what they were doing from all reports."

Chandler nods then. "It seems to makes sense I suppose....."

Kadn shrugs, "Then I could be wrong, and they have an armada out there just waiting to wipe us out..."

Kadn says to Chandler, "Have you spoken to Tom since your return? I heard he had a turn for the worse, but haven't seen a report on him yet."

Chandler pauses as she looks up. "What?" Pursing her lips she shakes her head. "...no....I haven't seen him....I...." Clearing her throat she nods then. "....I think we're ready to move onto the next sector."

Kadn nods, "Adjust course." then adds, "Once we're done here, he might like a visitor. If he is up to it..."

Kadn asks, "Any sensor contacts?"

T'Shaav says, "negative, commander."

Kadn hmms, "I've not heard anything from Lieutenant Temple regarding the analysis of the Qee ship schematics you recovered either. I've not had much time myself to look into them."

T'Shaav says, "They comprosed much data. Doubtless the analysis will take time."

Kadn stares out the viewscreen as the gas clouds of the nebula bounce off the vessel. Like he can maybe spot the ship before the sensors do...

Kadn says to Chandler, "I think we're drifting ever so slightly off the grid. Adjust your heading three degrees to port."

Coil continues to watch the sensor readings with an expert eye.

Straight-backed at her console, qetlhaH gives the viewscreen a hard look.

T'Shaav continues monitoring her sensors, looking as though she could stand there for days.

[XO's Chair: New contact: USS Antietam NCC-72540, 346.4 mark -30.4, range: 14972.2]

[XO's Chair: Lost contact: USS Antietam NCC-72540, 216.3 mark -72.8, range: 17440.1]

Kadn says, "All stop."

The vessel drops out of warp.

T'Shaav says, "confirmed sensor contact, commander. Off sensors now."

Kadn takes a deep breath, trying not to sound too excited. "Lieutenant Chandler, reverse course, warp six if you would please. As soon as we get sensor contact again, make a bearing for her."

Coil looks at his sensor readings, "It was off of our port side, barely brushed our sensor range."

Chandler nods then. "Yes sir."

The vessel vibrates slightly as it accelerates to warp speeds.

qetlhaH leans forward, now focusing all of her attention on her scans.

[XO's Chair: New contact: USS Antietam NCC-72540, 16.1 mark -1.8, range: 14011.2]

Kadn says, "Scans if you would please, active or otherwise. What shape is she in?"

Coil looks at the readings, "In sad shape, sir. Severe damage in most key systems."

The vessel drops out of warp.

Coil refines his scans, "And her fuel tanks are nearly dry.

Kadn hmms, "Looks like her power systems are completely offline as well."

Kadn says to helm, "Stop us in transporter range, Lieutenant."

Chandler frowns and nods. "Yes sir"

T'Shaav says, "Commander. May I suggest that an advanced team transport aboard in EVA gear to bring life support back online. Unless it's functional."

Coil continues to refine his scans, "No power over there. Shuttlebays and docking ports are open to space."

"No life support," qetlhaH confirms for T'Shaav.

"Looks like a lifeless, powerless derelict that has been abandoned, Commander," Kellen reports.

Kadn takes in the various reports, "Not sure we should have expected much else..." He nods to T'Shaav, "You'll need an engineer too." he looks around, "No volunteers? I'll go." He stares out at the screen for a few moments. "Nice to finally see her, but... anticlimatic at the same time." Famous last words...

Coil speaks up, "If the tractor can maintain a lock, we should secure her. No telling what might happen as we bring systems online."

"You will lead the team then, sir?" T'Shaav clarifies. "May I suggest, at the risk of being accused of sentiment, that we put an all-call announcement to the crew and our guests from the Antietam to the effect that we have found the ship."

Kadn raises an eyebrow at Coil. "Good call. Helm, move us in a little closer. Ops, secure a tractor on her." he smiles at T'Shaav, "Make it so."

T'Shaav isn't one for public addresses and takes a moment before tapping the intercom.

Chandler nods as she smiles. "On it sir."

Kadn says to ops, "Recall the aux craft as well."

Lieutenant T'Shaav taps something in on the computer interface panel.

>Intercom< Lieutenant T'Shaav says, "Attention all decks, this is the bridge. To the crew of USS Phoenix, and particularly to the personnel aboard who were crew of the USS Antietam, be advised: we have now discovered the starship Antietam itself. Doubtless, we will be calling on your expertise in time, but you all deserve to know that we have, at last, found the ship. ... Bridge out."

[XO's Chair: USS Phoenix NX-170100 locks a tractor beam onto USS Antietam NCC-72540]

[XO's Chair: USS Phoenix NX-170100 (PhoenixAux): All auxilary craft, return to USS Phoenix. Coordinates inbound.]

Kadn stands and nods, "Assemble in the transporter room. I need to collect a few things from engineering." he glances out at the ship on the screen again. "Especially if she has no power."

[Main Viewscreen] The viewscreen displays a closeup view of USS Antietam NCC-72540.

T'Shaav nods, locks up her station, and heads for the lift.

Transporter Room One <USS Phoenix NX-170100>
The first feature of this room that catches one's eye upon entering is the large circular dais on located to the left of the entrance. The transporter platform is marked with placeholders for six people, and the ceiling above is fitted with a variety of equipment to aid and assist the transport process, as is the platform itself. A narrow walkway curves around both sides of the dais, leading to key components of the transporter systems and allowing for maintenance technicians to gain easy access.
Opposite the transporter platform on the other side of the room is the transporter control console, which bestows the system operator with a variety of tools to fine tune the process. The curved console is set into a circular platform, in much the same manner as the transporter system itself.

You remove EVA Suit (4111) from EVA Locker.

Kadn puts the big bulky thing he is carrying down and slides on his suit.

You drop Portable Power Supply (5219).

Lieutenant Commander Kadn puts on EVA Suit (4111).

Lieutenant Chandler removes EVA Suit (2359) from EVA Locker.

Lieutenant Chandler puts on EVA Suit (2359).

Lieutenant (jg) qetlhaH puts on EVA Suit (2686).

Kadn asks, "How does everyone's air check out?"

Chandler nods after putting hers one. "I'm full."

"I have a full supply," qetlhaH reports, stepping up onto the transport pad.

T'Shaav says, "The same"

[EVA Suit (4111): Lieutenant T'Shaav (PhoenixAux): comms check]

Kadn says, "Setting our destination as the main bridge to start with. Though I may need to go down to engineering too..." he hmms. "Well we can look around, then head down. We might see something that causes us to pause."

[EVA Suit (4111): Lieutenant Commander Kadn (PhoenixAux): read you]

Kadn attaches his helmet and grabs up his tools and the power supply.

You take Portable Power Supply (5219).

[EVA Suit (4111): Lieutenant Commander Kadn (PhoenixAux): everyone ready?]

[EVA Suit (4111): Lieutenant T'Shaav (PhoenixAux): affirmative, commander.]

[EVA Suit (4111): Lieutenant Chandler (PhoenixAux): Ready when you are.]

[EVA Suit (4111): Lieutenant (jg) qetlhaH (PhoenixAux): Let us see what there is left to see.]

[Transporter Console: Energizing...]

Main Bridge <USS Antietam NCC-72540>
Sitting atop the Nova-class scout is the main bridge, which serves as the command and control center for all of the ship's operations. This bridge layout for this class starship is simple and straightforward, while boasting the latest in modern design. The walls are of light gray, while the carpet is of a darker charcoal. The standing consoles are a color of brushed steel accented with reflective onyx highlights, while the security railings are of a slightly brighter brushed aluminum.
Circular in design, the bridge is divided into three separate areas: the aft section, which sits at the highest elevation, has aft-facing consoles built into the entire bulkhead; the central section, which houses the chairs for the commanding and executive officers set beneath the upper level railing and the forward-facing operations and tactical consoles to port and starboard respectively; and, the lower section where the helm sits squarely in the center before a massive, floor-to-ceiling viewscreen that is built into the forward bulkhead.
Port and starboard exits to deck one are provided from the central section.

No breathable air detected, switching to internal air supply.

Warning: EVA Suit (4111) air supply down to 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds.

T'Shaav takes a few steps around the bridge, looking about.

Kadn materialized and looks at the first two consoles he can see, both dark with no power, to be expected.

Lieutenant (jg) qetlhaH uses Tricorder (4152) to scan Main Bridge.

[EVA Suit (4111): Lieutenant T'Shaav (PhoenixAux): when power is restored, I put it to you, sir, that the captain's and first officer's logs may prove invaluable, if they still exist.]

Kadn sets the portable power system down, its a heavy sucker.

More interested in her tricorder, qetlhaH paces the bridge, taking readings. She shakes her head. "Whatever interest there is on this ship, it will be in the computer."

Kadn nods to qetlhaH, "We'll need to get it some power though, and I can't do that here, not with all the consoles dead."

"Then we should go down to engineering," qetlhaH says. "Can you hook that up from there?"

Chandler nods as she continues to follow along, keeping her eyes peered.

T'Shaav says, "Should we transport there, then?"

Kadn nods, "Sounds the easiest, as we can't take the turbolift."

Main Engineering <USS Antietam NCC-72540>
The heart of the Nova-class scout, main engineering is small and cramped. The entrance from main engineering leads into what is essential a section of corridor that is roughly twice as wide as a typical corridor, but it remains cramped because the regular bulkheads have been replaced with four sections of consoles. A ladder provides access to upper and lower levels of the engineering section. Immediately forward of the work area are two steps that lead to a slightly raised platform surrounding the ship's warp reactor core.

You drop Portable Power Supply (5219).

Engineering Console is not connected to power and remains dark.

qetlhaH paces through the big engineering compartment, eyeing everything with a keen gaze as she runs her scans. Just in case.

Lieutenant (jg) qetlhaH uses Tricorder (4152) to scan Main Engineering.

Kadn gets right to it, attaching the portable power supply to the engineering console

You connect Portable Power Supply (5219) to Engineering Console.

You activate Portable Power Supply (5219).

Lieutenant Commander Kadn taps a control on Engineering Console.

Engineering Console beeps and remains locked.

Kadn hmms, "Well that could be a problem. Don't suppose anyone brought over the codes to unlock this thing?"

qetlhaH glances at T'Shaav. That seems her area of expertise.

T'Shaav catches the Klingons look. "There are two options, Commander. I can attempt entry, or we can ask one of Antietam's crew to join us."

Kadn nods, "Good point. I'll send word over to the Phoenix to see if anyone is handy."

qetlhaH shakes her head, returning to lean a hip against the wall. Hand on the other, she watches Kadn attempting to contact the Phoenix.

Chandler purses her lips as she seems to be in thought. "Try David maybe...."

Kadn says to qetlhaH, "Lieutenant, get on the console and give me the power readings. I'll see if I can access the warp reactor directly, maybe get it at least registering as there..." he moves over to the reactor and removes a panel.

Kadn shakes his head as he looks over the reactor. "We'll need the main computer up and running first. We'll have to reload all the control sequences. She is in a real mess here."

"Neither of the reactors register at the moment. The power source is at least giving power to the consoles, but not much more," qetlhaH reports.

Warning: EVA Suit (4111) air supply down to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Chandler purses she lips as she looks around. "Dang....this ship is gone gone. We need to get what we can while we can."

Kadn asks qetlhaH, "Can you locate which deck and compartment the primary computer core is on?"

"Deck 4," qetlhaH reports. "Can it be transported whole? Then we wouldn't have to deal with the power issues and we could extract whatever we need aboard Phoenix."

Kadn shrugs, "Won't know until I see it. To be honest. Stay here, I'll see if I can get access to it, at least get it responding too. I'll have the Phoenix beam over another power supply as well. Be right back..."

"Aye sir." qetlhaH tinkers with her console as Kadn leaves, grumbling at it.

Kadn returns from wence he came, grumbling, "Seems to be a circle here. Can't power the computer without power, and can't power up the reactor without the computer. But, I think I have it at least responsive now. We'll see."

T'Shaav says, "which /it/, sir? The computer or the power reactor?"

"Power reactors still showing nothing," qetlhaH says.

Kadn smiles, "The computer, now let me dig into the reactor again." he expertly makes a few adjustments to the control systems on the reactor. "Ok, Lieutenant qetlhaH, see if you can power up the computer, say 20%"

qetlhaH nods. "Powered," she announces with a toothy grin.

Chandler seems to just be watching quietly for now. This is not her skillset.

Kadn remains fiddling within the reactor control systems, from his vantage point down on the floor.

T'Shaav is also waiting for the systems to come online so she can search through them. She nods to chandler as they wait.

qetlhaH taps her console. "It's stabilised," she announces.

A computer generated voice says, "Autodestruct sequence initiated. Time remaining: 5 minutes"

Chandler blinks as she looks up. "We sure about that?"

A computer generated voice says, "Autodestruct sequence initiated. Time remaining: 4 minutes"

As the computer system is brought back online a power surge surges through the reactor core. Minimal damage to the system, but Kadn is thrown back into the far bulkhead.

You are knocked unconscious.

T'Shaav heads over to Kadn, kneels down, and sees about assessing his condition and that of his suit as she tries to raise a line to Phoenix medical.

qetlhaH swears in her native tongue. She egins a rapid input into her console, attempting to halt the sequence. "I am trying to stop it. Is he alive?"

A computer generated voice says, "Autodestruct sequence initiated. Time remaining: 3 minutes"

Chandler frowns as she blinks a few times then gasps when Kadn goes flying. "Shit!" Moving over to where Kettle is she looks over the console. "We don't have time for this. See if they can beam up the core....and we need to detach the Phoenix from her ASAP." Pursing her lips she just mutters something in Spanish now as she glances over to T'Shavv.

[EVA Suit (4111): Lieutenant T'Shaav (PhoenixAux): Phoenix. Commander Kadn has sustained a concussion of some kind. Transport him to medical. Away team has approximately one hour of air, but the Antietam's self destruct has been accidentally innitiated. Prepare to break tractor lock and move to a safe distance. Stand by emergency transport, my next signal.]

T'Shaav makes a rappid transmission into her suit com as she stands. She doesn't repeat it since everyone here heard it. "Our status?" She raps out.

A computer generated voice says, "Autodestruct sequence initiated. Time remaining: 2 minutes"

A computer generated voice says, "Autodestruct sequence initiated. Time remaining: 1 minute"

Chandler begins to tap at the console, still muttering in Spanish angrily. "Oh come on!!!!" She punches it as she calls out. "It's freaking not stopping and we got to go!"

"Two minutes," qetlhaH reports, on top of the computer. "Now one. I can't stop it." She gets to her feet. "We need to go now. I refuse to die in an exploding ship that isn't even being shot at."

Swirls of energy whip around your deconstructed body. Shimmering lumination dances about your form uncontrollably, dazzling every sense.
