Mess Hall <USS Callisto NX-99901>
The crew of the vessel may choose to dine in private in their quarters, or here in the company of their colleagues. The room is not very spacious, with only a few tables spaced around the room. Along the port bulkhead are two food and beverage replicators, and a disposal. The tables are metallic, contrasting somewhat with the dark grey tones of the carpet and walls, as well as the copper highlights to each. Black, glossy panelling runs uninterrupted along the bulkheads at shoulder height just inside the entry door, allowing access to the LCARS interface, and tracers set into the bulkheads close to the ceiling indicate the current alert status.

Svetzvani is sitting at a table in the mess hall, a tray in front of her with a sandwich of some kind and a drink. Naturally, her shoes have been removed and carelessly kicked off to one side where anyone might trip over them as they walk by, and she's rubbing her bare feet together, massaging one with the other as she eats. Her blue eyes stare off at nothing as she chews. Apparently she's deep in thought about something.

Chandler makes her way into the mess hall, exhaling as she pulls her long hair down from that messy bun. Looking around, she smiles as she spots Tink but moves to the replicator. After ordering herself something that looks like....well....a piece of cheese she makes her way over. Leaning over she chuckles a bit. "Penny for your thoughts?"

Svetzvani blinks and looks at Sybil. "Oh, hi!" she says through a mouthful of food. She gestures to one of the other chairs at the table as she quickly finishes chewing and swallows. "What are you up to?" she asks.

Chandler chuckles a she smiles, moving around to sit down. "Nothing. Grabbed some cheese while taking a break. What about you?"

Svetzvani drops her eyes to Sybil's... lunch. "Turkey and cheese," she replies, lifting her sandwich a little as if to indicate it. "Also bread, and a little mustard." She glances at the cup on her tray and adds, "Iced tea."

Chandler looks over her food then chuckles. "I'll eat something bigger for dinner I think." Grinning she then sits back a bit. "Treat myself. Go hide for a bit before getting back to work." With that she leans her head back, closing her eyes. "...I'm so ready to get back to the Phoenix after this next mission."

"You and me both, girl," Tink replies as she sets down her sandwich and picks up her cup. Just then, the door to the corridor swooshes open and Moltz, the Callisto's Klingon rescuee/guest, barges in like he owns the place. Tink's eyes flick toward the door and she nods that way, indicating to Chandler that she should have a look.

Chandler blinks as she hears steps and looks int he direction that Tink's gaze moves. As she sees the Klingon she almost groans as she slowly starts to sink into her seat. "....oh hell....."

Moltz scans the mess hall with his dark eyes, scowling at everything and everyone that falls under his angry gaze. That is, until his gaze falls upon Sybil, at which point his eyes narrow and he immediately swaggers over with his chest pumped out. "Well, if it isn't the feisty bridge Lieutenant of the Federation Callisto," he says loudly. Other Callisto crew members around the room turn their attention toward the Klingon and the two Terran women at the table. He arrives at the table but remains standing, looking down at Chandler. "Am I permitted to be in this place?" he asks just as loudly as before, and with an obvious tone of sarcasm in his voice.

Chandler is practically screaming internally as he sees her then. Clearing her throat she sits up a bit as she glances to Tink. Chuckling she shakes her head then crosses her legs...and motions to a seat across from them. "I have a name...." A beat as she smirks. "It's Lieutenant Chandler....." She then looks around and chuckles. "As long as you don't start throwing stuff again you're fine. Everyone has to eat after all...."

Svetzvani tries to hide a wince at Chandler's response. Her studies of Klingon interpersonal exchanges tells her that this could go a completely different direction than Sybil probably expects. Still, she attempts to show her support for Chandler's efforts by nodding and also gesturing to the empty seat at the table. "Please, join us," she says lightly and with a... ok, yeah, let's call it a smile.

Moltz sits without offering thanks for the invitation. Instead, he places his elbows on the edge of the table and leans forward toward Chandler, completely ignoring Tink. "Your Federation replicators have very little to appeal to the stomach of a true Klingon," he bellows. Immediately though, his voice lowers to an almost conspiratorial tone as he growls to Chandler, "Still, I see this ship does indeed keep a few... tempting items on the menu." He openly looks Sybil up and down, an unapologetic grin on his face.

Chandler raises her brow at the Klingon, looking over to Tink then. When he speaks again she looks back at the man, parting her lips to say something but when he starts out with the second sentence she snorts a bit as she laughs. "Well I'm sorry to hear that the food is not to your standards. However....." A beat. "...some of those tempting things can probably give you a really bad stomach ache....the sharp kind."

Svetzvani winces again, then tries to salvage the situation. She reaches out and touches the Klingon's arm to get his attention. "Moltz, do you think your Captain is unhappy with you?" she asks.

Moltz is once again staring hungrily at Chandler, a low, primal growl growing from somewhere deep in his chest. Sybil's words have indeed encouraged rather than discouraged him. At Tink's touch on his arm, he slaps her hand away and turns to look at her. "Be gone, soft woman!" he roars at the Counselor. "And do not touch me again. /You/ have not earned that privilege." His tone settles again as he turns back to Chandler to speak to her. "You, on the other hand..." He leaves the rest unsaid and leans closer to her. "Perhaps you know a place on this little ship where we can go and... exchange cultural ideals?"

Chandler's eyes move sharply as he smacks Tink's hand away then looks back to him. "Watch your mouth when you speak to her, Moltz....." She leans in then as she then raises up her hand. "AS much as you would enjoy that....I'm married. Besides....would your captain appreciate it that you're trying to 'exchange ideals' with a Federation woman?" Sitting back she then watches him. "If I've earned your respect in a sense...respect that I meant what I said in the sick bay...and that this woman is turned off by men that can't get a hint." A smirk then tugs at her lips. "But we can be friends."

Svetzvani gasps in surprise when her hand is slapped away. She watches Sybil's reaction and nods, then starts cleaning up the table where some of her tea had spilled.

Moltz seems to consider Chandler's words for a few moments, then he looks around. "Where is this mate of yours?" he asks. "I should like to meet the man who has been able to secure a bond with such a strong woman as you, and see just what kind of man he is." Still ignoring Tink he then asks, "Is he a great warrior, worthy of your love, loyalty, and affection? I can see that he must be."

Chandler blinks as she hears his questions then chuckles. "Uh....he's not here. He's elsewhere while I'm doing this stuff." And with that....she leaves it.

Svetzvani finishes cleaning up the spilled beverage and turns her attention back to Sybil and Moltz. It seems Sybil has gotten things under control, thankfully. She opens her mouth to speak, but then decides that it's still not time. Not after Moltz's outburst. She instead picks up what remains of her sandwich and continues eating.

"Then you will convey my respects to this mysterious warrior when next you see him," Moltz says as if it were a foregone conclusion. He makes as if to stand, but then leans in again and says to Chandler, "The honor you show your bond with this man warms my heart, and makes you all the more desirable for it. I will honor that bond as well, and resort to admiring you from afar." He stands and says loudly, "Qapla', Lieutenant Chandler!" then offers her a Klingon salute.

Chandler is laughing so hard internally but nods. "I'll....be sure to let him know when I see him next." SHE IS SCREAMING!! "And same to you, Moltz!" She stands, giving him a two finger salute before looking over to Tink. "Well then...." She clears her throat. "I think....I'm going to go finish a report and then take a nap. "Lieutenant Svetzvani....I'll pop by later, hm?" A smirk tugs at her lips. Appearances and all in front of this guy.
