Main Bridge <USS Phoenix NX-170100>
The two-tiered main bridge sits at the apex of the Phoenix's saucer section. The foreward bulkhead is dominated by a viewscreen that can be used to display visual communication signals, sensor data, and other useful information. Immediately starboard of the main viewscreen is an alcove where the ship's engineering functions can be monitored and controlled from the bridge. The starboard bulkhead is dominated by a series of auxiliary consoles that can be configured for a variety of purposes. A master situation monitor is recessed on the aft bulkhead, and a long console stands in front of that where the ship's tactical officer may perform his or her duties.
A sliding pneumatic door port of the master situation monitor allows access to the commanding officer's ready room and a door starboard of the master situation monitor allows access to the ship's observation lounge. Like the starboard bulkhead, the port bulkhead is dominated by several auxiliary consoles. An alcove to the portside of the main viewer provides access to the ship's various science systems.
The commanding officer's chair sits on a platform level with the bridge's upper tier, and it juts out into the lower tier, flanked on either side by auxiliary chairs for the ship's executive officer and a distinguished guest. A curved, two person console sits at the fore of the lower tier, the port side designated for the bridge's operations officer and the starboard side designated for the ship's navigator, the stations separated by a one-foot wide support at the center of the console. A security railing encompasses the lower tier with breaks for the command chair and stairs on both the port and starboard sides to allow access to the lower tier's consoles.

Ki'Vek is on the bridge, manning the station assigned to her newly appointed position. Her dark yellow eyes are busy looking over all of the various displays to be sure everything is working at peak efficiency. Her tail is coiled up under her in a wide, loose stack. She's apparently relaxed and pretty comfortable.

Sybil makes her way onto the bridge, PADD tucked under her arm as she hums softly to herself. Making a bee line for her seat at the helm she then flops down. Looking over, she gives Ki'vek a nod with a smile. "Hey there."

Ki'Vek greets Chandler as she arrives on the bridge, then acknowledges the other officers as they also arrive. Oh, the joys of a shift change.

Chandler looks up from her station and smiles, giving the others a wave then.

T'Shaav steps onto the bridge, back in normal uniform for the first time in weeks. She takes up the tactical station, casting a glance around as she surveys the bridge.

Svetzvani steps off of the turbolift, leading the new science officer. She makes her way over to Kadn and places a hand on his arm. "Commander," she says formally, but with a grin and a twinkle in her eye. "This is Lieutenant qetlhaH, newly arrived." She gestures to the Klingon. "Lieutenant, this is Lieutenant Commander Biran Kadn."

Anewan follows out of the turbolift after T'shaav. He nods to Chandler and takes his position at Operations logging in he prepares to give the status report.

qetlhaH comes to attention by the bridge doors, as is proper, taking a look around at the many and varied forms of Federation life, scowling. "Lieutenant Commander," she says. "Lieutenant Junior Grade qetlhaH reporting for duty."

Kadn exits the lift, he doesn't comment, but its nice to see some of these faces back on this bridge for a change. He turns when his arm is touched and almost goes to scoop Tink up, but the timing just isn't quite right. He winces ever so slightly at his name being spoken in the wrong order, oh well. He raises an eyebrow at the new lieutenant. He's a touch taller than her, but not much. "You caught me on my way to a station, but, what's your area of expertise, Lieutenant qetlhaH?"

[Damage Control Console: New contact: Unidentified #10, 145.1 mark -9.5, range: <291762.0>]

"Exolinguistics and social sciences," the Klingon replies promptly. She side-eyes the crew in general and adds, "I am not for interpersonal communication, but if you need something translated, I will translate it for you. Among other things."

Kadn asks, "So if I receive a love letter from a Vulcan in her native text, I'm on my own then?"

Chandler lets out a snort of laughter but quickly stifles it.

T'Shaav arches an eyebrow and gives Kadn what might pass for a scandalized look. "Commander," she says. Letting that hang a moment she adds, "Contact alert, commander. A small craft of some kind. Ensign?" That to Anewan.

qetlhaH's eyes immediately fix on the only other female Vulcan currently on the bridge. There is A Pause. "Yes." But duty interrupt snything else she might be going for.

Kadn turns to face T'Shaav, "Range?"

Svetzvani giggles a little, but keeps it under control. When she hears the report about the contact, she hurries over to her usual bridge station.

Anewan responds, "I see it, putting it on screen," he pauses. "It seems to be a probe of some kind. 300,000 kliks."

[Main Viewscreen] The viewscreen displays a closeup view of Alien Probe.

T'Shaav says, "291762.0 kilometers, Commander. Stationary. No tactical systems I can detect."

[Damage Control Console: Alien Probe begins scanning this vessel.]

"It is scanning us, Sir," Ki'Vek reports.

Chandler squints as she looks at the probe then frowns. "Hmm."

Kadn says to qetlhaH, "Hold that thought." He asks Anewan, "That's damn close, why didn't we detect it?"

Anewan shrugs, "It just popped on the sensors sir. Out of nowhere."

Chandler looks at Kadn with a brow raised. "....I could have been cursing this whole time....?" A smirk tugs at her lips then as she looks back down. "That things got real close real fast.....think it's the Nebula?"

Ki'Vek suggests, "Or more jump technology from the Qee?"

qetlhaH makes her way over to loom behind the duty science officer, peering over his shoulder with obvious interest and making him a tad uncomfortable.

Ki'Vek pulls up records of recorded Qee appearances, then shakes her leathery head. "The usual signatures for Qee jump drives it is not present here," she reports, contradicting her own speculation from a moment ago.

Kadn says to qetlhaH, "Are we detecting any communications?" Put her to work and she hasn't even reported in yet.

Svetzvani leans forward and squints at the viewscreen, looking at the image of the probe.

[Damage Control Console: Primary Computer Core set to 10.08 GW]

Anewan reports, "I am picking up a signal that I can't isolate what kind, coming from the probe. It is interfereing with normal computer operations."

qetlhaH goes for the most expedient method, leaning over the science officer and stealing his console from under his hands. "Scanning," she reports. "Nothing active, but I will narrow this scan to remove natural interference."

You say, "I'm detecting damage to our primary computer core. I recommend we raise shields."

T'Shaav says, "confirmed, commander. and I concur."

Kadn nods, "Yellow alert, raise shields."

T'Shaav says, "Engineering, please power tactical systems"

Kadn says to Ki'Vek, "Power to the shield systems."

[Damage Control Console: all shields raised]

Chandler chuckles as she shakes her head. "Well...I'm glad I didn't take that test flight just yet...."

Ensign Anewan enters an alert code on the nearest computer interface panel.

A sultry woman's voice says, "Yellow Alert! All stations set condition yellow!"

[Damage Control Console: Primary Computer Core set to 3.2 GW]

[Damage Control Console: Team #2 assigned to repair Primary Computer Core]

Anewan taps a few buttons, "Going to Yellow Alert, acknowledged," then swining back to study his console he reports, "No effect. The signal is unaffected."

"Battle profile with shields loaded, assigning additional repair teams to the computer core," Ki'Vek says.

T'Shaav says, "Shields are up."

Svetzvani frowns, then glances worridly at Biran.

Kadn says to Ki'vek, "If that system gets any more damaged, switch over to secondaries."

[Damage Control Console: Primary LRS set to 138.0 GW]

You say, "Additional damage to primary computer core. Also now reading damage to primary long range sensor systems. Switching to secondary core."

[Damage Control Console: Only department heads and command level officers can alter primary system status']

Chandler blinks a few times. "But....." She frowns a bit as she focuses on her consoles. "Sir should we move away from it?"

A sultry woman's voice says, "*screeech*"

T'Shaav says, "Ensign Anewan, Lieutenant Qet'hla'H, what is the status of the probe scans?""

Kadn covers his ears, "Shut that off if you can."

Anewan frowns, "I can not tell what kind of scan it is, but it is still scanning and the signal is not making the sensors go haywire."

Ki'Vek taps at her console, but is unsuccessful at switching to secondaries. "Sir, my authorization for switching to backups it is being rejected," she reports, apparently not affected by the screaching sounds.

Svetzvani winces, trying not to cover her ears.

T'Shaav says, "Permission to arm weapons, Commander."

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Primary Computer Core repairs proceeding]

Kadn nods to Ki'vek, "Ah, it might need command clearance. Lieutenant T'Shaav, help Ensign Ki'Vek with your codes please." He shakes his head at T'Shaav, "Not yet." He steps over to qetlhaH, "Can you make anything out of that signal?"

Chandler winces as she puts a hand to her head then licks her lips. Shaking her head she squints at the view screen then.

[Damage Control Console: Secondary Computer Core switched to primary over Primary Computer Core]

Grimacing, qetlhaH says, "nothing yet. I am analysing the wave. Ensign," she points at Anewan, having no idea what his name is yet, "Share your analysis with my console, that may speed things up."

T'Shaav logs into the backup systems and enters a series of authorization codes as she says, "Acknowledged." To kadn.

[Damage Control Console: Secondary Computer Core set to 20.0 GW]

A sultry woman's voice says, "*screeech*"

[Damage Control Console: Secondary Computer Core set to 17.6 GW]

Ensign Anewan taps something in on the computer interface panel. The panel displays: working...

Ki'Vek hisses in frustration. "Secondary computer core now taking damage as well," she reports. "Routing damage control teams to compensate."

Anewan covers his ears this time and attempts to turn the computer voice off, "Turning off the computer voice now sir, but the signal is interfereing with normal functioning," he pauses, "Also sending you what I have on the signal Lieutenant."

A sultry woman's voice says, "*scre"

[Damage Control Console: Team #7 assigned to repair Secondary Computer Core]

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Secondary Computer Core repairs proceeding]

T'Shaav winces at the volume, or maybe in her case, the pitch of the sound, but she stolidly holds her station and tents her fingers anticipatorily over the weapons controls.

[Damage Control Console: Team #8 assigned to repair Secondary Computer Core]
[Damage Control Console: Team #9 assigned to repair Primary Computer Core]

With Anewan's changes, the screeching finally goes silent.

[Damage Control Console: Team #10 assigned to repair Primary Computer Core]

Kadn asks T'Shaav, "Any thoughts on a way to block off that signal? Anyone really, I'm open to suggestions."

qetlhaH offers Anewan a brief nod of acknowledgement as she receives his data. "There is something here, Commander. But the signal's power is overloading it. It's almost undetectable. We need to weaken it before I can get a good read." She glances over at Engineering. "Can we do this?"

T'Shaav says, "Destroying the source, or inhibiting the scan, sir."

Ki'Vek considers her console. "Perhaps an electronic dampening field it would reduce the probes affectiveness," she suggests.

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Primary Computer Core repairs proceeding]
[Damage Control Console: Team #11 assigned to repair Primary Computer Core]

"I also think," qetlhaH adds, still bent over the science console and inputting data with rapid fingers, "That Lieutenant Helm," she elbows an elbow towards Chandler, "is right. We should retreat. Distance may help us."

Kadn nods to Ki'vek, "Give it a try, Ensign. Helm, full reverse, back us off."

"Is there a chance that this is an attempt at communication?" Tink asks.

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Secondary Computer Core fully repaired]

Chandler looks over to the new Klingon Lieutenant with a grin before looking over to Kadn. "Yes sir."

[Damage Control Console: Speed set to -100.0% impulse.]

Ki'Vek sends the specifications for an electronic dampening field over to the operations station. "Ops, activate program EF01," she says.

Kadn asks, "Whats the range?"

Worthington enters the bridge and looks to T'Shaav and then to Kadn. "Evening commander," he says, before looking for an open station.

Chandler keeps her gaze on her console then raises her brow. "It keeps....hopping around sir. Sometimes we're 3 light seconds out...other times its at 100,000 Kliks or so."

Kadn nods, "hold here Lieutenant Chandler."

[Damage Control Console: Speed set to all stop]

qetlhaH catches Chandler's eye for a brief second as her look flicks across to Svetzvani. "It's not just meant to disrupt our computer systems, I think. When the dampener field goes into effect, then we shall see." She bares her teeth in a little smile. "Ensign Ops, once the dampener goes up, try to reduce the signal noise around this pattern." She sends it to his console. "We will see what it's hiding from us."

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Primary LRS fully repaired]

Anewan nods, "I see the program, activating it now."

Ki'Vek reports, "Repair teams they report that the secondary computer core and primary long range sensors they have been fully repaired."

Svetzvani nods to qetlhaH and looks hopeful.

Kadn says to T'Shaav and Worth, "If we can't get a peaceful resolution to this, I want a tactical analysis of what it will take to silence that probe."

T'Shaav gives Worthington a nod as if to assign him first crack at that.

"The probe is sending out a message," qetlhaH reports. Onscreen the probe sits there, looking impenetrable. It appears on sensors also, quite close. "Ensign," another elbow at Anewan. "Are you able to help me decipher it?"

Anewan nods, "I am working on it. I am trying to run it through the translator now."

Worthington looks over to commander kadn. "Commander, I felt some lurches earlier before coming on shift. What is our status sir?"

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Primary Computer Core repairs proceeding] [Damage Control Console: Primary Computer Core: syncing with Secondary Computer Core]

Kadn says to Worth and points at the viewscreen, "That is messsing with our systems." He looks to Anewan and qetlhaH, "Anything new to report?"

The slitted pupils in Ki'Vek's yellow eyes narrow as she studies her readouts. "Sir," she interrupts. "We're still taking damage to the secondary computer core, but less than before. It is possible that the dampening field it is having an effect."

[Damage Control Console: Team #5 assigned to repair Secondary Computer Core]
[Damage Control Console: Team #6 assigned to repair Secondary Computer Core]
[Damage Control Console: Primary LRS set to 114.0 GW]
[Damage Control Console: Lost contact: Ralnater, 146.5 mark -0.4, range: [18.5]]

Kadn nods to Ki'Vek, "See if you can increase power to it. But don't fry us out either."

[Damage Control Console: Team #7 assigned to repair Primary LRS]

Anewan links his console to kettle's, "Lieutenant," he pauses, "This is what I am working with," a few attempts at putting it through the translator, "Can you make anything of it?"

Worthington looks up. "I'm noticing long range sensors taking damage as well sir, at 76 percent integrity."

Ki'Vek nods to Kadn. "Increased damage to long range sensors," she reports while following her last order.

Kadn hmms, "Helm, take us to warp., Any direction."

[Damage Control Console: Secondary Computer Core set to 20.2 GW]

T'Shaav says, "If it follows us, I will reiterate a tactical option."

Anewan turns over his shoulder, "Maybe we should try hailing it?" he suggests turning back to his console.

Svetzvani gives Anewan a small smile.

Kadn chuckles, "Not on standard, we'd announce to the Qee where we were... Ensign Ki'Vek, lower power to the comms to .05%"

"Aye Sir. Lowering power," the Selay replies.

qetlhaH grunts and straightens up from her station at the science console, leaving the crumped scientist on duty looking a bit relieved, and marches over to lean over Anewan's shoulder instead, just as his data appears on the screen she just vacated Oops. "If we search this signal for its most common pattern," she does, "and run a comparable search through known languages in the database for most commonly used word patterns, we should be able to get the universal translator to a point of reference at which it can begin to help us out. Get me the database search, and I will scan the signal itself."

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Primary Computer Core repairs proceeding]
[Damage Control Console: Primary Communication System set to 0.05 GW]

Kadn nods, "That should do it. Mr Anewan, send your hail."

Anewan pulls up the database being nudged slightly, he gives a slight side eye before pulling it up, "Here it is you'll find languages native to this area coming up first," then tapping a few buttons on the other side of the console he hails, "Aye Sir."

Svetzvani sits forward in her chair, eager to see the results of the hail.

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Secondary Computer Core fully repaired]

Chandler was trying to go to warp but shakes her head. "Well might as well. The warp field isn't connecting....."

While Anewan hails, qetlhaH gets to work on her final analysis. Between this and the clear signal she and Anewan have managed to get already, she hopes to at least come up with a fragmented translation. Something that will at least clarify whether they should be shooting or shouting.

With the starship unable to go to warp, T'Shaav waits at the ready for any shooting orders if they are forthcoming.

Worthington awaights any orders, monitoring from his station.

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Primary Computer Core fully repaired]

You say, "Primary and secondary computer cores repaired, Commander."

Anewan begins to send the hail then pauses looking back at Kettle then the work she has done he reports, "I think we have a translation," he says a bit surprised. "It is saying, 'what is your function'?"

[Damage Control Console: Team #1 assigned to repair Primary LRS]

Kadn nods to T'Shaav, "Power up the weapons, target the probe." He holds up a hand, "Wait... Can you send a message back, Ensign, Lieutenant? Somehting like, shut that damn scan off? Or maybe something more practical like. Hello, we hear you, quit yelling?"

[Damage Control Console: Team #2 assigned to repair Primary LRS]
[Damage Control Console: Team #3 assigned to repair Primary LRS]

T'Shaav's fingers flex momentarily on her controls, but she hears the countermand in time to hold.

A grin flashes across qetlhaH's face. She straightens up, backing off Anewan and descending upon the duty science officer again. "Yes," she says. "Tell it to back its signal off. If it whispers, we can understand it."

Anewan nods crafting a message sending, -'Your scans/signal is damaging our vessel. Can you communicate in any other way?-

Ki'Vek stiffens and looks alarmed. "Sir, I'm detecting a massive power spike in the computer core."

T'Shaav says, "Commander?"

[Damage Control Console: Visual emissions from the probe begin to brighten, forward sensors take damage.]

Kadn says, "Unless you have some good news Mr Anewan?" He nods to T'Shaav, "Arm weapons, target the probe, prepare to fire, beam weapons only. It's so close we don't need one of our torpedoes hitting us back."

[Damage Control Console: Notice: all beam weapons armed] [Damage Control Console: Target lock established on Alien Probe]

T'Shaav says, "Weapons systems ready, commander."

Anewan shakes his head, "No response sir. And confirmed on the power spike."

Ki'Vek taps quickly at her console, trying to counteract the power spike.

Kadn hmms, "Fire. Helm, back us off again."

[Damage Control Console: 18 beams fired; 6 hits, 12 misses. Total yield: 2009.0] [Damage Control Console: Alien Probe is destroyed.]

[Main Viewscreen] The image of Alien Probe fades from view.

[Damage Control Console: Lost contact: Alien Probe, 360.0 mark 0.0, range: <112499.1>]
[Damage Control Console: Target lock on unknown lost.]

T'Shaav says, "Direct hits, Commander. The probe has been destroyed."

Svetzvani finds herself with her hand over her mouth. She lowers it slowly, eyes still glued to the viewscreen where the image of the probe has just disappeared.

Chandler nods as as she backs the ship up a bit.

Worthington stays focussed on the console in front of him and doesn't display any emotion.

"Damnit", Kadn says. He takes a moment to collect himself, "Mr Ki'Vek, whats the status on the core? Mr Anewan and qetlhaH, get every piece of data you collected on the probe ready for analysis. Please ask Lieutenant Coil to ... well to do what he does with the data."

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Primary LRS repairs proceeding]

T'Shaav says, "Permission to disarm weapons systems, Commander?"

qetlhaH makes a disgruntled noise in her throat and begins to collate her signal data. "We nearly had it. It was making an effort."

"The power spikes they have been discontinued," Ki'Vek replies. "Repairs they are preceding."

Anewan frowns looking at the veiwscreen and the nothing that is left. "Scanning for debris sir."

Chandler purses her lips a bit as she rubs the back of her neck then.

Kadn nods to T'Shaav, "Power down the weapons. Keep the shields up for now. Stand down from yellow alert." he looks towards Ki'Vek, "Excellent work managing the repair teams, especially for your first shift at the post." He nods to Anewan, "Find anything?"

[Damage Control Console: Notice: all weapons disarmed]

Lieutenant T'Shaav enters an alert code on the nearest computer interface panel. A sultry woman's voice says, "Alert status has been cancelled. All personnel, all sections, stand down from alert status."

Kadn says to qetlhaH, "Have your language analysis stored in the computer as well. In case we, or someone else runs into another one of those." He smiles, "Welcome aboard."

Anewan nods, "Aye sir, a few hull fragments but not much of anything else," he notes. "It is an substance that we were not eable to scan through. Should I transport it onboard?"

Svetzvani grins at qetlhaH, despite her disappointment about the probe.

"Thank you, Commander," Ki'Vek says simply to Kadn.

"Sir," qetlhaH replies. "I will send it to my head of department as well." She frowns at the screen and adds the tiny language sample to the ship's database, shaking her head. "I look forward to serving here." She doesn't look it at the moment, but then, it's been a slightly disappointing end to her first mission, speaking as a linguist.

[Damage Control Console: Damage Report: Primary LRS fully repaired]

Kadn says to Anewan, "Only if you can assure me you can contain it in a secure fashion for further testing. Otherwise, no."

"All systems repaired, Sir," reports the Selay.

Kadn nods to Ki'Vek, "Once the primary core is 100%, switch it over from the secondary."

"You will find our primary mission in this space engaging, Lieutenant," T'Shaav offers to the new scientist.

"We will see," qetlhaH murmurs. She steps away from the science console at last and folds her hands.

Worthington nodds. "There is a lot to study, lots we don't know. Ask Lieutenant Coil about Manerva, or the probe we encountered, many wonders out here for a young scientist."

Ki'Vek nods to Kadn, then inputs the switching order and sends the authorization confirmation over to T'Shaav's console.

Anewan says, "Transporting the probe debris to Cargo bay One. It will be there for engineering to look at."

Ki'Vek adds to Anewan's report, "Initiating cargo bay security field."

With the bridge crew going about the business of getting the debris, T'Shaav asks Kadn, "Commander, do you anticipate further detached missions with the escorts?"

[Damage Control Console: Primary Computer Core switched to primary over Secondary Computer Core]
[Damage Control Console: Secondary Computer Core set to 0.0 GW]

You say, "Computer commands rerouted to primary core, secondary core taken offline."

Kadn nods to T'Shaav, "I still see unidentified star systems out there on our sensors from here. There could be more. We've only found 1/3 of the Antietam crew so far, we have a ways to go...but, we're also formulating ideas for a diplomatic approach." He looks over at Tink, concern on his face? "That will hopefully make things easier, but, we'll see." he nods to Ki'Vek

Worthington listens and wonders as he hears. "A diplomatic approach, sir?"

T'Shaav nods. "I shall keep myself in readiness," she offers, leaving it at that.

Anewan idley muses, "Were we able to determine which direction it came from?"

Svetzvani sighs. "I'm afraid that the basis for our strongest diplomatic stance may have recently become a claim of military strength," she reluctantly admits. "Considering the Phoenix's last encounter with the Qee patrols."

Kadn says to Chandler, "Move us a few hundred light seconds from these coordinates, assuming Mr Anewan has his samples?"

[Damage Control Console: Primary Computer Core set to 20.0 GW]

Chandler nods to Kadn but looks to Anewan. "Got what you need?" She then looks to Kadn after a second. "So....testing the K'rel....I'm assuming we're holding on that?"

[Damage Control Console: Primary LRS set to 150.0 GW]
[Damage Control Console: New stellar contact: Ralnater, 146.5 mark -0.4, range: [18.5]]

Anewan nods, "Yup, I got'em."

"Security fields they are in place and holding," Ki'Vek confirms.

Kadn asks Chandler, "Did you want to do that tonight? It might be best to wait until morning."

Anewan turns to Ki'vek, "They are there for engineering to inspect. But I didn't want to send them directly to engineering."

Kadn says to Anewan, "When you submit a report on what you brought aboard, cc Lieutenant Coil. Science may want a look too."

Chandler raises her hand then shakes her head. "Uh....no. I didn't." Chuckling she nods a bit. "I can wait until we live this nebula unless....we have to go out before then."

Svetzvani pretends like the bridge isn't full of people. She secures her station, then leans over and kisses Kadn on the cheek. "I need to go down to my office," she says, then waves goodbye to the others on the bridge as she heads out.

T'Shaav nods to kadn. "Commander, I should like to get below and review some departmental matters. Lieutenant Worthington will finish up here if needs be."

Chandler yawns then moves the ship back a few hundred more light seconds.

Worthington stands and moves stations.

Anewan nods, "I will add Lieutenant Coil to the report," he pauses turnig towards Chandler, "K'rel tests?" Anewan adds, "Turning off viewscreen."

Worthington departs the bridge after summoning a replacement.

Ki'Vek looks over to Anewan. "Ensign, how well versed are you in electronics?" she asks.

Chandler looks over to Kadn then. "I'll find you tomorrow sir in regards to the K'rel and all that."

Anewan responds, "Not so much. The basics only," he half shrugs.

Ki'Vek nods to Anewan, then goes back to monitoring her console.

Anewan purses his lips, "Is there...something I might be able to help with?"

"The debris we just captured," the Selay says casually. "I wondered if you might be one of the officers assigned to help analyze it."

Anewan ahs, "OH. No. I think that it will be Engineering and Science looking it over. That's not -really- my thing but sometimes they will call me if they are reaching," he smiles.

Ki'Vek nods again. Her coils loosen under her and she takes a more relaxed posture.

Anewan muses, "Maybe I should turn the computer's voice back on.." he chuckles and taps a few things on his console.

Ki'Vek uncoils her tail and rises to a height of just over six feet. She logs out of her console and says, "If you will excuse me." She nods to Kadn and slithers her way to the lift.
