LePage rolls his neck from side to side as he stepped out from the Express Turbolift, working out a couple cracks while he meanders over towards his console in Main Engineering.

Pulling up his Engineering geared dashboard on the console, the Terran Engineer starts to whittle away through the piles of workorders, most of which have already been completed and just require a Senior Engineer's sign off. Rolling to the queue of workorders that haven't been completed, one catches his eye from Commander T'Shaav: to replenish the eight expended target buoys from the training excercise recently conducted.

"That oughta be easy enough to start the shift" LePage remarks, closing down and locking his console before heading out for the Turbolift down to deck 20. He rolls down the corridor and into Industrial Replication to make use of the massive replicators.

Eight freshly minted buoys later, LePage walks over to the transporter console, wiggling his digits before keying up the system to interlink with the active Deck 4 Transporter Array. After sending out a message to all stations, so as not to alarm the commanders with their uplinks, he patternlocks the first six buoys and sends them on their way to Buoy System Control on deck 24. He queues up the last two and scratches his beard, regarding them.

"Well... I don't see any reason I can't go along with these since I'm goin' that way anyways" The Engineer muses before his fingers begin to fly over the glass panel of the console, setting up a small script that will activate the transporter, reset the uplink back to it's original partner of the Deck 16 Array and then lock the console as he's whizzing away.

Satisfied with his work, and crossing his fingers, he decides to hit the button. The console flashes and locks itself, but seconds later he's standing in Buoy System Control. Happy he wasn't scrambled and his program did the trick, he sets about storing the buoys away. Once he's finished with that task, he once again regards the console infront of him.

"Well. While the call is out that the transporter is active, guess I don't have to walk all the way back to Main Engineering..." LePage chuckles to himself before setting up the same program on this console. After a couple failed attempts due to clearing the patternlock before the transporter could verify them, LePage manages to beam himself into Main Engineering where he promptly jumps onto his console to clear the locks from there.

It's about that time that a message pops up on the console from the XO, Commander Anewan, reading "Why are we playing with the transporters?"

LePage's blood runs cold for an instant as the XO calls him out on exactly what he was doing. There's a small shake in his fingers as he quickly taps out a reply.

"Performing buoy replenishment and evaluating transporter functionality for scheduled review"

There's a long and tense pause, LePage not looking forward to the verbal reprimand that comes along with frivilous use of the transporters. Then finally, his console beeps with a reply from Anewan.

"Understood"

The Terran Engineer sighs a deep sigh of relief and slumps back in his chair after clearing the patternlocks and informing the ship that the scheduled transporter activity has ceased.

"Yeah, next time I'll just take the lift" LePage mutters to himself.
